    Several of the slides were extremely rusted and missing bolted along with the steel frame being off centered and help together with a partially broken ratchet strap. Not only was this an issue but the life guards and attendees acted as if safety was non existent and didnt bother to make you feel safe and never told us we could go only stared until we got the point. Although the 2nd visit was better safety wise a minuscule amount, the ratchet strapped steel pole needs to be investigated before someone gets hurt.

    We called to purchase our season pass and explained our plans for using the 4 passes. We have family coming into town throughout the summer and wanted to be able to bring them along. We asked when we purchased the tickets if they were interchangeable and the young man said they were - anyone can use them. However, when we came to pick them up we were instructed that we needed a receipt. We didnt have a receipt because we had called to buy them and they only procure receipts if you purchase them online (which we only found after speaking to the manager). Very strange.In speaking with the manager about the receipt we found out the passes are not interchangeable. They take your photo for each pass and only the one user can use the pass for the summer. Makes sense but not what we were told (and we were clear of our intention on the phone). We asked for a refund.They said they dont do refunds even though we had never used the passes and purchased them 2 days prior. The manager was adamant that it wasnt their staffs fault that it wasnt explained to us how the passes had to be used. Neither were we told they were non-refundable when we called to buy them. Regardless, they asked the park superintendent for approval to refund. They also denied the request stating we could dispute the charge with our credit card company. We dont even have 4 people that live here and the two who do live here dont swim. Its just a joke and so disappointing. We will never use the park now which means nothing to them but its just really disappointing to say the least. Theres no integrity or sense of the community weve come to love here in North AL for the Point Mallard park. We would have paid for individual passes throughout the summer and probably spent more money in the long run but they refused to refund us so it is what is.
