    bought the recliner and in a year the mechanism broke on both sides, the cushion collapsed and the arm rest ******* in gone, the wood is literally pressing into my ribs if I lean on either side. Lazy boy used to mean quality, but now it means a waste of money. We finally got service tech out but only replaced one side of the broken left mechanism however will not replace broken springs. and now its worse than ever. it's unusable in every way. cannot sit in it without it causing nerve and back problems and that with us adding extra outside cushions. The whole chair is nothing but trash at this point.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    weve already contacted the store and said it falls to guardsmen and lazy boy. Lazy boy ,, itself should be held liable for extremely poor quality of product. The local place is only the middle man not the manufacturer.

    This customer had complaints after the manufacturer's warranty had expired.  They had purchased extended warranty for accidents in the home.  The extended warranty has replaced both units.  This is a one time replacement.  Abuse in the home is not a manufacturing defect.  We have completed our obligation on this matter and have no open service tickets with this person.

    My wife submitted a complaint on 7/11/23 to BBB and even though she told the store we had two different last names, they refused to accept her complaint because my name was on the **** of sale so again, I, ***********************, purchased a Lazy Boy recliner on 4/22/23, and brought the chair home. This chair was for my wife who is 74 and about **************************************************************************** get the foot stand up. I adjusted the wing nuts on the back but it was not any better. We had to go North for my granddaughter's graduation in ******** and visit my wife's sick sister in ** where we stayed until 6/17/23. We purchased another chair which my wife loved when we returned and we decided to take the Lazy Boy back because it did not work properly for her. In the contract box (Sold "As-Is" Final Sale (No refund or Exchange)) was not checked. As noted by the Manager at the bottom in very small print No Returns or Exchange unless product is defective, which it was for my wife. We returned the chair and my wife demonstrated the chair was defective for the Manager because she was not able to recline. The Manager told us twice that she had been in the business for 20 or 25 years and was the official expert, she also recommended that I buy an electric recliner. This made me angry so when the Manager said "I will have to make some calls", I said then you really aren't a Manager just a Minion. She became enraged told her people to get inside and slammed the door. We had to leave the chair there because we had no help loading it back on the truck.
