      This week I purchased on March 5, 2024- for Cash $*** a used washer -********* *** **** that he indicated he had refurbished and was working.

      He delivered that evening around 4pm. After delivery and hookup Mr. Lamar and aid left. Called him a few minutes later that the washer was leaking from the hoses in the washer side. He indicated he would come back and did not.

      I waited all day Wednesday to see if he would come to fix the leak. He did not. Had to call a neighbor to help me so the water would not ruin my wood floors and walls. About a gallon of water leaked and sprayed on my walls and floors. I texted him photos for proof. ( tho he said he does not check his vm nor sms).

      After the leak had been fixed, I proceeded to wash my first small load/ test. Washer started well as normal but got stuck prior to rinse. I tried all 3 wash settings with same result. I called Mr. Lamar again and advised that the leak had been fixed but that the washer was not working. That the wash cycle stalled. To please come and fix it. He indicated he would be there next day 10 am. I waited all day. He was a No show.

      Next day I called him again and have left a sms asking for a refund and that he pick up the property.

      He lets the phone ring w I answer.

      Dialed once *67 and he answered and the pretended he did not hear and hung up.
      I called back and he refused to answer my calls.

      I would appreciate if u can help me get my money back as, Mr. Lamar, the owner of the thrift shop is unresponsive to contact, unresponsive to service call and sold a non working item as working.

      I have made contact with **** ****. I have picked up the washer and refunded her the $***.  Also I have reexamined the washer and it is in perfect working order. I personally feel that she just wanted her money back. I didn't see any damage to her floors either. I hope that this satisfies her and resolves this issue. If I need to do anything else please feel free to contact me via email or phone.

      I am accepting the resolution, as it refers to:

      a) Mr. Lamar did contact me last Saturday 22 of March, 2024 to arrange pickup.

      b) He did pick up washer today March 25,2024

      c) He did refund in full $***

      rejecting this response in regard;

      He did not test it in my presence to corroborate my statement; so him saying it works just fine, when it does not is not accurate. As to his reference that I wanted just a refund and made a false claim, I also reject as it is inaccurate as well. I mentioned to him when I bought the washer I needed it direly as due to my severe allergies, going to the laundromat was not longer feasible as the detergents used there exacerbated greatly my lungs. So in fact I was great disservice and an injustice in selling to me a non working item. The complaint has been resolved 3 weeks later, even tho the issue was presented a) on leaking-5 -10 min after he left on March 5, 2024. - I had that fixed so as to not ruin my walls. b) And the wash cycle Getting  stuck prior to rinse 24 hrs on after purchase was also notified. He could have come then to ascertain claim and address it; he did not. Mr. Lamar delayed, missed appointments w/o explanation and avoided  calls or hung up on me when I tried to bring up the issue. I must note: The store is a good store. I have purchased many items there, and was satisfied. Excellent place for 2nd hand furniture, dishes, decorations, tools  and other 2nd use gral use household items. However I will caution others, from buying any item for which use and working order can not be ascertained as Refrigerator , washers, dryers or similar unless ur willing to deal with my same hassles.
