      I took out a subscription to Times Daily. I have done this occasionally to read an article I was interested in. I paid for a three-month subscription. When I went to cancel it, it showed that it was cancelled. Then they took more money out of my account. I looked back to cancel it and it shows that it is cancelled. I looked around the website to see if I was missing something but it would not allow me to do anything because it was cancelled. The second month, same thing. This month, I finally found a place that I could email the company, it wasn't for cancelling but an email address. I was able to get it replied. In the email from them, it states, " The dashboard has not been updated since 2021, which is why you are seeing your old account information from 2021." This is a rip-off. This was a way to keep customers paying for a crappie item. a scam. I FINALLY have the account cancelled and will NEVER get anything from them again. But still. My credit card company has given me credit for 2 months.

      My apologies you had an issue with canceling your subscription. We do try to ensure a smooth transition for our readers whether you are trying to subscribe or cancel. Basically, the subscription you looked up in the online subscriber portal was your old subscription from 2021 that was indeed canceled. The one you were being billed for was the online promotional/limited time offer that had converted to the regular rate. Those two accounts were not linked together in our system, honestly not sure why or how that happened and our system providers are reviewing that aspect. The company emails and phone numbers are all available in the contact us at the bottom of the TimesDaily webpage. But, after reviewing this complaint we will also look to add them inside the subscriber dashboard/portal for easier access. I assure you we are not purposely making this difficult, in the current digital subscription portal users have an easy unsubscribe/cancel button. We should have that same functionality on the print/digital combo side in the next few weeks. Again, I apologize for the problems with canceling your subscription and want to assure you we used this as an opportunity to review the process for additional improvement opportunities. ****************
