I began renting a covered parking unit at Midgard storage *************************************************************** 35634.Rented beginning May 1 for 44 per month. I used the unit for storing my cargo trailer until I left the unit approx July 4th 2024. I notified the agent via their office Zoom system (the site is unstaffed) that I was leaving that day. My contract stated that I need to provide 30 days notice, so I expected to be billed for the entire month of July. I was auto-billed on my credit card for August. on the 2nd I believe. I contacted them via phone and explained the situation, I had left, taken my trailer to *****. On July 4 the spot was empty and I should not be billed further. The agent looked into it and said it would be take care of. Now I have been auto-billed again Sept 2 for $74. They raised their rates after I left, effective aug1 2024, and are now billing me an increased rate, for a space I no longer rent. I would like to receive a credit on my card for the two extra months for which they billed me, Aug and Sept. $74x2. and an apology would be appreciated. I just turned autopay off via their website, so they should not be billing my credit card further. Note my original contract attached was for a difference until I booked online while in *******. When I arrived I saw that it was an indoor unit that I could not get my cargo Trailer into. Onsite, the virtual agent changed me over to the space they call CP19, at a higher rate of ***** this was fine.

I have been renting from Midgard Storage since Nov 2017. I down sized June 2022. As I was moving across the hall I notice the mold/mildrew. I let the representive know. Then I filed with Cornerstone. *********** replied back that mold/mildrew was excluded from the insurance. I was told that the insurance was mandatory. Cornerstone said it would be Midgards responsibility. I was told from someone in management within the company that Midgard on Chishlom Rd. ********************* does not have a dehumidifier. The moisture barrier was off. Standard ***** Midgards stays on *****. Since Nov 2017-June 2022 I had spent a total of. And I was mislead and they false advertise about it being climate controlled. If it was Climate Controlled which is what I was rented my belongings would not be ruined. This company has stole from me. My rent continued to go up and up until June 2022 I have paid Midgard Storage $11,317.96. This company has done nothing but steal and mislead customers. I have email ******************* management.com. She was extremely rude and not professional. She offered me 1 months free of rental. And she said that was her final answer. I feel like they just stole my money and are false advertising to the public. This is not how a business should treat their customers. I feel like they owe me my money back. No one would want their valuables & sentimental safe. That's the purpose of paying the extra money for Clinate controlled storage. Please help get me a resolution. Thank you so much, *****************************

    ******************,

I've copied and pasted the portion of the lease you signed that addresses these scenarios. Again, there was no water event which is why insurance denied your claim. Your things could have been brought in wet or already with mold. Please see a portion of our lease below:

    22. TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY CONTROL: Occupant understands that any storage units within the Facility that *** be considered climate controlled *** be only heated and/or cooled. Climate controlled storage units are heated and cooled depending on outside temperature. These storage units do not provide constant internal temperature or humidity control and Operator does not
warrant or guarantee temperature or humidity ranges in the Unit or at the Facility. Even in climate controlled storage units, there is a risk of the growth of mold and/or mildew on Occupant`s stored Personal Property, particularly if Occupant brings damp or wet Personal Property into the Unit. Mold and/or mildew are naturally occurring substances, and Operator is not liable for the growth of
mold or mildew on stored property. Systems that are used to provide heating and cooling do not have backup power sources.Under certain circumstances, including, but not limited to, mechanical failure of heating and/or cooling systems, electrical blackouts and acts of God, the Unit *** not be heated or cooled at all. Occupant shall store their Property within the Unit solely at their own risk.
