Our Hundai car broke down so we had it towed to this mechanic for repair, They notified us that it had an oil leak and had leaked into the motor and destroyed the coils and plugs. So we paid for repair picked car up, less then one week later car broke down again same symptoms, we took car back to same facility and they stated that they hadn't properly cleaned the coils all the way and supposedly repaired the problem, again about one week later car breaks down again and will not run and has no oil ! have towed to shop, they call me the next day say the motor is blown and admit that they didn't clean the top plastic on the motor and it has been leaking down into the motor. Clearly they didn't repair the car properly the first time and now it has led to the car blowing the motor ! We want a full refund for this repair

The customer came in knowing that the timing chain was rattling , which means the car isnt going to run properly and could damage the motor at any time . They didnt want to fix that as of yet but wanted to stop the car from leaking oil . The mother doesnt drive the car but the daughter does so the mother has no idea how long its been leaking oil from the valve cover gaskets . The original leak made oil go onto the engine cover which justs pops on and off but under the cover is some foam . After completing the job , my tech didnt properly clean that small engine cover and thats the only place oil was spotted when the car came back the third time . First time for the original work which includes valve cover gasket, plugs and coils to fix the oil leak and misfire . Second time, the car came in because 1 of the coils had came loose and we only had to reconnect it and the car left running fine again. Only issue was the car was making a noise ...but thats not uncommon because the car has a timing issue and now that the car isnt leaking oil , the oil pressure and other things will be different . The customer had been driving it for a week or two before bringing it back the second time . Third time it was towed in because it wouldnt start for the customer but started at the shop for us. Customer claims it was low on oil but we put oil dye in the system and saw no leaks . It could be acting funny because of the timing issue  or some other issue but we had no time to diag the car because the customer was demanding their money back . Unless the valve cover gasket was leaking or the coils or plugs were bad then no money is owed back to her . Thats all that she paid for .   Tried to explain to the customer that her theory of us failing to clean the cover properly from previous oil and that now that oil ran down into her engine and messed up her engine isnt physically possible . The best diag our tech came up with is that the engine has slung a rod and she needs an engine . Thats from driving the car with timing issues for so long , possible running low on oil for a period of time . It could be leaking or loosing oil internally .
