    To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this formal complaint against High & Dry Storage in **** ********, *******, due to severe negligence, property damage, and the owner's failure to address my concerns in a professional manner. I rented a storage unit from High & Dry Storage for six months. When I returned to retrieve my belongings, I discovered extensive water damage, rodent infestation, and destruction of my property, including furniture, children’s toys, and other personal items. This damage resulted from improper storage conditions and a lack of facility maintenance, which should be the responsibility of the business owner. I attempted to contact the owner, Mr. Bruce, for several months but received no response. When he finally returned my call on September 16, he was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. He stated that he does not answer calls from unknown numbers—an unacceptable practice for a business owner handling customer concerns. He also mentioned that he had insurance, but he refused to provide any details or assistance. Since then, he has ignored all further communication, and my issue remains unresolved. My property has been out of the storage unit for almost 10 months, yet I have received no compensation, resolution, or even an apology. I am now requesting the following: A full refund for the storage rental period. Compensation for the damages incurred to my belongings. A clear response regarding the insurance policy he referenced and how I can file a claim. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will pursue further action, including filing complaints with the ******* ******** ********* Office, consumer protection agencies, and small claims court if necessary. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution. I am happy to provide photos of the damages, rental receipts, and any other necessary documentation upon request.
