I had a new swimming pool liner put in my inground pool by ******** Pool Service. When I called a few days later and talked to ******************** about what I felt was a problem with the liner he told me that his people had installed the liner correctly and that the reason for the problem was because of ground water, and therefore the problem was mine and not his. I have never had a problem like this before, and I have lived here for 38 years. I have had the liner changed a few times over the years. Since discovering the problem I have talked to a few pool liner installers about the problem and I have learned that ************************ employees skipped a very important step. I learned that prior to the liner installation the installers should smooth over the sand just like concrete workers do on concrete. I am not working at the time so I took the opportunity to watch the installers during their process and remember that as soon as they had the old liner ripped out, they started installing the new liner without smoothing the sand out that is under the liner. In the past my wife(currently ex-wife) had been at home and handled everything about the installation, therefore since I had never witnessed a pool liner installation, I had no idea at the time that ************************ employees were skipping such an important step in the liner installation. There are many dips and many humps in the liner and they make it hard to properly clean the pool, and even walk without pain. Also in some places there are (unknown items) that are pushing against the liner and they will eventually cause holes in the liner where they will pole through. Additionally the liner is now starting to break away from the wall in one corner, so far. What I am wanting is for ******************** to replace the liner and then install it properly or else reimburse me the $3200.00 that I have paid for a new liner and installation, so I can have a liner installed properly and enjoy my pool.
