  Contract signed and dated May 26, 2023 with business owner ********************* with K&T Painting and Home Improvement for several home improvement projects. #1: Paint, sand and restore all iron railing on back patio including iron lighting. I will say he did do this to my satisfaction.#2 Paint, repair and seal all outside wood on house including exterior shutters. NOT DONE #3 Pressure wash all brick(including house) as well as walkway, driveway and porch. NOT DONE #4 Install exterior security lights (I purchased). NOT DONE #5 Repair brick chimney NOT DONE I was quoted 17K for everything and I paid a deposit of 8500.00.The business owner responded to my communication on August 15, 2023 stating he "100% going to do the job" In the same communication he said he would "give me all my money back" and his "attorney was releasing his money" so he could pay me back. I have not heard from him and he no longer will respond to any communications. I have been told he has changed his contact # and moved from the address on the contract. All I want from this man is to come do the pressure washing on the brick house, patio, walkway and driveway and we will call it even on the deposit. If that is not an option, I need a refund of 4200.00.This man misrepresented his company as a BBB **********. He has taken advantage of this elderly customer. I just don't see how people can live with themselves after doing to this to anyone especially an elderly/disabled client.

  We needed our garage converted. I found K&T's truck at a gas station in ****************. I called to get a quote. ********************* and one ***************** came out November 2022 promised they could do all I needed. They were supposed to start in Feb. Feb, March, and April came around and no work was done. He had excuse after excuse -deaths in the family, sickness, finishing jobs, etc. May came and we told him he needed to start before our vacation on 5/24. Nothing. June we threaten to **** He started texting several times a day. He showed in June but still No work done. 3rd week of July he started working. We had trusted him and gave him 57% of the quoted total. He would work 2 hours here or there throughout the week and maybe 4 hours on a Saturday. We hounded him over and over again until he FINALLY finished up to 30-35% of the job. We later learned that this ***** has been arrested as recently as May 2023 for defrauding the elderly. NEVER trust this company. **Update: I just saw were he was arrested again and just released 9/21.

  ****************************, owner of K&T Painting and Home Improvements, contracted to perform work on my residence for which I paid $26,700.00 between 2 March 2023 - 17 April 2023. ************** performed no work on my home except for filling in a few cracks in a pool deck that took his employee about 3 hours to complete on 6 March 2023. ************** represented himself as a licensed and insured renovation expert with all the requisite skills to undertake the work he convinced me to pay for, including significant sewer and water line plumbing, removal of cast-iron pipes under my home, installing pool drains, excavating my basement to waterproof my partial basement area, installing custom 6-inch gutters for my whole house and carpentry to replace and repair any rotted wood on the exterior of my home. He stated he had an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, which you will find on his card and work van. K&T is not BBB accredited, and he is not licenced in Alabama for renovation or any skilled labor like plumbing or electrical. On 06 July, ************* came to my home and apologized for all the delays in starting my renovation project and stated he would return all of my money with interest. I have not heard from him since. I recommend you do no business with *********************** or K&T Painting and Home Improvements because ***** is a fraud and renovation ******** who targets elderly and disabled veterans just like me.

  K&T ***************************** Improvements robbed me of $2,300 and have not entered my home ONCE since payment (May 15, 2023). They have refused to take any of my calls and have completely ghosted me. DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS

  Transaction date: June 30, 2022 Transaction amount: $10,400.00 (Copy of contract attached)I signed a contract with this man on 6/29/2022 (attached copy) which indicated he was to perform 4 major home remodeling projects at my residence for a total of $10,400. I paid him $4,000. on that date, and he indicated he would get started within 30 days. Since then (and it's currently late December, 2022), all this man has done is 60% of the inside painting. Below are listed the 4 major projects we already paid for, and their status... 6 mos. later.* "Replace rotted wood outside of home" NOT STARTED * "Roof ******* and brick replacement" NOT STARTED * "Paint entire interior of home" ABOUT 60% DONE. WORK IS SATISFACTORY * "Put in tile and floating floor in residence (about 80% of interior)" NOT STARTED ************* was totally unpredictable regarding showing up to work beginning late July. He never had a crew to paint, but only 1 individual. Worked for 2-3 hours a day, normally 2 or 3 days a week. I could easily see I was being slow-rolled.************* always had excuses why things were going slow, most provably false.From September, getting him to show up for any work was progressively harder, until he eventually didn't call back, and stopped coming here.I had stupidly paid this man all the money up front, in several increments, which I know was a big mistake. He had done a smaller job for us, totaling $2600., which was totally satisfactory.However, this specific contract was not honored by him at all, and I wrongly thought he was on the up-and-up.When we signed this newer contract, he deceptively told us he was rated highly by the BBB, which he was not. I doubt he even has a business license, or homebuilder's credentials.This man, in my opinion and experience, is the definition of 'scammer'.

  On **** *************************** younger helper *********************** drove by my house in their job truck (which had *********************************** Repair *********************************************************************** on side as well as stating that they are BBB rated A+ company on truck (And his card). (Although later I saw on BBB website they are Rejected! Is that not false advertising?) They wondered if I had any work. I showed them the area under a 12'x12' elevated room & wanted to frame down approx 5' & add 2 openable **************** door, & some insulation in wall & paint walls & repair 3 existing window frames. He gave me a price of $6,800 to do this. I agreed & he wanted $5000 right then & I paid. He said 2 weeks to finish. Soon after, he said it would be better to dig down approx 1' & add concrete floor for another $3200. Later he there was a leak on 1 side & he said we needed to build block walls part way up and he would fix the leak also. I paid $3000. for that up front. (He did not fix the leak with a bit of flashing & later fixed it myself.) Next he said the blocks did not line up with framing above & needed to extend to full ht block walls 3 sides. I paid another $1500. of his $2500 price for that. He also pushed that he would replace and paint wood fencing on 2 sides of back yard for $3000. & I paid that up front. At one point he asked for $1000 cash. I only had $400 to & he got aggressive & demanded that I pay check for all remaining work. I gave $5000. So now I have paid $17,500 in checks plus the cash and all they have done is ~$500. worth of materials & around $2500. in Labor to dig out, pour concrete, and do less than half the blockwork.It has been 2.5 ************* have stopped showing up. They have promised many times to come out, but do not. I told them 5 times to deliver my materials (2 windows, door, siding, insulation, Fencing etc) but they do not. Do not believe anything ********************* ************ says anymore. Can you help me & see that other people are not taken by him?
