    I got my oil changed on 11/30/2024 and the company failed to tighten my oil plug causing my engine to fail,

    The vehicle in question is a 2015 ******* Elantra. Per the records at The Oil Well Lube Express, this vehicle first came in to the business in June  of 2016.

    Unfortunately, accidents occur. According to Ms. ***** her vehicle was the victim of an unintended happening. The vehicle was towed to a dealership in ***** **. Once the business was notified, information was being received from several parties ad the facts became muddled.

    The dealership service advisor ***** ***** contacted The Oil Well Lube Express stating a new engine replacement was necessary. He indicated the engine would come from LKQ, a salvage, recycle auto parts dealer.  At that time the manager of the ******** offered to locate, purchase and ship to the dealership a replacement engine. Mr. ***** said NO. He said that the Oil Well Lube Express was now a "third party" in this process and the dealership would be the one to acquire the engine and do the installation.  At that time, the Oil Well requested a detailed estimate of all parts and labor to complete the work.

    After receiving an abbreviated estimate, on December 16, 2024, three members of the Oil Well Lube Express traveled to the dealership in ***** ** to view the vehicle, attempt to understand the procedure used to diagnose the vehicle and to gather a more detailed estimate. 

    The dealership quoted a charge of $5,115.10. (attached copy) Prior to leaving the dealership, still with many questions, the Oil Well left a check for the quoted amount.
