I purchased my home is March of 2019. I had him come out in April with an issue. In July, I had another issue with the unit. I was having problems with my ** unit. In June of 2021 (6/29/21), there was another issue with the ** and water was extracted from the emergency pad and 2 lbs of refrigerant was added, and I was charged $320. In June of 2022 (6/17/2022) I called him out again and water was once again removed and 2 lbs of refrigerant was added and I was charged $340. After much discussion, Mr. ********************** indicated that there had to be a leak in the system. On May 18, 2023, I called Mr. ********************** out once again. This time, he checked the system again and indicated that there had to be a leak but he couldn't find it. Refrigerant was added again and I paid him $300. I continued to call Mr. ********************** because he put the system in. On August 15, after contacting Mr. ********************** and letting him know my home was 83 degrees inside, he stated that he didn't know what to do, so I called Blake ********* Once again, the system was low. That visit was $700 and they put UV Dye in the system. Came back a couple of days and the leak was found. That cost me another $900+. I would like to be reimbursed from **** ********************** because each and every year in placed refrigerant in my system knowing there was a leak and never took all the available measures to fix it. From May to the date of this complaint I've spent almost $2,000 and no consideration from **** **********************. After the leak was found, I sent him a text and he never responded. It is unacceptable that he never ever took all necessary steps to fix my problem after admitting that there absolutely was a leak in my system. I am beyond upset and will never ever use his services again. I fell like I've been ripped off.

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience of the system having a leak. To the contrary there were numerous leak tests performed and several man-hours of time searching for the leak on 2 previous visits and unfortunately it couldn't be located at the time. I am happy to refund the costs of the refrigerant charged by my company

There was only one leak test done.  Aa a licensed HVAC person ALL of the steps that could have been taken.  The last visit Mr.  **** Berryhill stated he knew there was a leak but he didn't know what else to.  How about the dye test like the other company did.   They did not find the initial leak but immediately recommended running dye through the system and guess what, the leak was immediately found.

Transaction Date: 12/29/2022 Amount Paid: $985 ($640 for fan blower/motor part)Service Provided: Replacement of HVAC system's Fan Blower/Motor Berryhill Services Invoice # ****** Nature of Dispute: (1) The fan/blower/motor replaced by Berryhill Services (*******************************) was under warranty. Mr. ********************** (who originally paid for the part upfront) has not reimbursed me for the part, even though I have sent him 2 requests (by letter and email). Mr. ********************** received a check for $350 in mid-January 2023 from the warranty company, but the check has not arrived as of today (3/14/2023).(2) I have also requested that Mr. ********************** reimburse me for what I paid him for the part ($640); he contends that I should receive $350, not the $640 I paid him; This is a 45% markup for a part which should have been of no cost to me.(3) After Mr. **********************'s installation of the fan blower/motor and no heat was blowing into my home, he stated that the reason wasbecause the unit's compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. I contacted the company from which I purchased the unit; their technician replaced the compressor, but still no heat was blowing into my home. I asked for this company's best technician to inspect my unit and was told the fan blower installed by Mr. ********************** had not been connected properly and that I really hadn't needed a new compressor. I incurred an additional $189 for the fan blower to be connected properly.(4) Mr. ********************** is under contract with Home Adviser; I only learned this fact when Home Adviser invited me to rate Mr. **********************'s service at my home. As a result, I had no heat from my unit for 3 weeks.

    Mrs.  ****,

My diagnosis of your bad blower and its replacement was correct. When I left I told you it was running and it was. (blower only and in the correct direction) but your compressor was bad so the full system would not work until it was replaced. The tech from the other company that came is/was wrong about the motors wiring. My guess is he wanted to recover a labor loss for having to replace your compressor under warranty and told you what I did was wrong. I don't know and there's no way to prove it but in any event your blower was running fine when I left and it was not blowing the wrong direction. The distributor gave me a check for $350.00 for re-imbersement for your blower. They did not refund shipping charges. I will be mailing a check to you today for that amount. I offer my apologies for your inconvenience in this matter but I can assure you I was correct in my diagnosis and my repair.

    Sincerely,
    **** Berryhill
