The build of our new detached garage has been a complete nightmare. From day one, the Project Manager (****) treated us terribly. He spoke down to us and dismissed any concerns. Throughout the project, there were hundreds of nails in our driveway and up to ***************************** our yard. We had to walk our driveway daily before even parking and were unable to mow our back yard. We found numerous Corona bottle caps in our yard from the workers and saw them drinking alcohol on our security cameras. When we mentioned this insurance liability to ****, his response was its hot and they deserve to have a beer. They left a microwave on top of our brand-new HVAC system. They blew a fuse in our house, which ruined a freezer full of food because they didnt bother to mention it. They dumped concrete so far from the build that it was on our neighbors property. They left the dumpster in our driveway for over two weeks after the build was complete. I have never been treated so dismissively in my life. This company does business as if they are doing work for the customer for free and as a favor. NO it cost us almost $50k to be treated this way on our own property. We now have a serious leak coming in the back door every single time it rains. This is due to them installing the door incorrectly, and they have yet to fix the issue. So, there is water puddling inside the door and running down the floor throughout the entire garage. We paid this contractor over $48k and the man whose name was on ALL of the checks written, **** Slaton, refuses to even return our phone calls.

    Hello Ms. *********
Thank you for your feedback. I am truly sorry to
hear about your negative experience with my company. I take every
concern seriously and deeply regret that your project did not meet your
expectations. Its clear we failed to provide the level of service that I
strive for, and for that, I sincerely apologize.
    I understand how
important your home and property are, and I am committed to addressing
any issues that arise. Id like to investigate the matters youve
raised, particularly the concerns regarding the project manager, work
site cleanliness, and the water leakage issue with the door. Your
satisfaction is my priority, and its disappointing that I have not met
    that standard for you.
I will reach out to you so we can discuss
these issues further and find a resolution. I hope to regain your trust
and ensure that all outstanding concerns are addressed.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience and frustration this has caused.
    **** Slaton

I am rejecting this response because: The issue has not been resolved. My $48k new garage is still leaking. The attached picture was from yesterday. This was from a light to moderate rain, not even a storm. The leaking has not slowed in the least. We are terribly afraid that **** Slaton's inability to correct a seemingly simple issue will cause much further damage to the wood inside that is getting wet. We also set an appointment to meet with **** Slaton on Monday, April 14th at 3:00. He did not show up for the scheduled appointment. I took off of work to meet with him and his office manager (****) stated that it was a misunderstanding between her and **** Slaton. She told him incorrectly that the meeting was the next day. Even though this was THEIR fault and I took time off of work to meet, **** Slaton himself has not bothered to reach out.

Also, his response to this complaint is a copy and paste from his response to my ****** review. And is his same response I have read on other reviews. He truly does not care about his customers or the quality of his work.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ********

I am rejecting this response because: no resolution was offended

    Sincerely,

***********************f this day I haven't had any communication and no attempts have been made to resolve this problem. Going over my contact I paid a total of $5,999 for flooring and $2,596 for packing, handling and storage. Health reasons and surgery has been my priority and, they were aware of my situation. During the 7 months of my remodeling I had several issues that occurred but I tried to make the best of it because of the Covid. I'm sorry now. It's too late to change them now. This situation is a horrible injustice and needs to resolved. I really hoped things wouldn't come this far. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

We inspected ******************* floor complaint on 10/07/22 and found high
was not installed correctly and that it was to tight against the walls,
so we removed the shoe molding (see attached photos) her floor was
installed correctly. I did offer her ***** to help mitigate her moisture
problems, most companies would have not made that offer.  We didn't
create the moisture problem but I was just trying to help her.  She
refused, so I don't know what I can do to solve her problem.

    Complaint: 17736069

I am rejecting this response because: The email from *********************** stated "Once we receive the 8k draw we (c)an continue." If the email was poor use of words, then a simple apology will resolve this matter.

    Sincerely,

our house since March 8, 2022, I want nothing more than getting my house back into working order. I dont mind making a payment of $8,000, I do mind that I was told that work will not continue until they receive payment.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/22/2022

The email referenced was sent to ensure payment was being processed/intended to pay. We have not stopped the job. We are currently waiting on subcontractors to inform us of their availability in order to finish the remaining items. While we regret the delay as our goal is fastest completion possible, we simply cannot make the subcontractors get to job any faster than they are willing to. The project manager is coordinating that. We will pursue the completion of our obligations until expiration of the 14 day term. After that, we will stop in event of non payment.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/25/2022

The draw has been paid. The job is continuing. At this point, this complaint seems to have been rendered effectively closed.
