    We paid a deposit of $11,500.00 to *** ON 11 October 2022 for a pending bathroom renovation. As of March 2023, we still had no scheduled start date for the renovation and because of some unforeseen health issues, decided we would cancel the project. At the end of March, we were told by *** that there was an available start date in June. On 31 March 2023 we informed *** we wanted to cancel the project and get our deposit returned. There followed a series of text messages thru April informing us they were working on the return of our deposit. On May 19 we were told *** that we could "... plan on having everything settled by the end of the month", which we assumed meant May 2023.Our deposit was not returned as promised, and continued text messages (to ***********************) finally promised us on June 2, that return of our deposit would occur, "... in 7 to 10 days", but that did not occur. On July 11 ****************** texted we would have, "... return of our full deposit on 8/1/2023", but then on July 31 ****************** changed the date to, "... the middle of the month (we assumed August). On August 18, having gotten no refund and had no other communication from ***, we asked for an update and ****************** replied, "Still working on it."On August 21, 2023, I called the *** office and left a message that I needed to talk with a manager because I was at the point of contacting the BBB or legal help. We received a call from *********************** who said he would look into it and get back with me that afternoon. I provided a copy of the prior text messages from ****************** that had previously promised return of our deposit. **************** did not get back with us that afternoon as he had promised and did not reply until 28 August when he said we would be "... paid during the month of September. We requested a schedule for those September payments on 29 August via text message to ****************, and have had no reply and received no refund of our deposit as of 13 September. We just want our deposit back.

    Signed a contract and gave a deposit for remodeling project in November. We were told they would begin work on the first phase after the New Year and the second phase in late February to early march, they never called after the New Year.. We called them, the sales person and project manager came out early February to discuss the timeline and said the crew would be back in 2 weeks to start. They never called or showed up. We called several times to get a commitment on dates but they just told us they had delays on other projects and could not provide an estimated start date. We notified them we were canceling and wanted our deposit back, since no material or labor had been provided we expected our full deposit returned. To date we have not received our deposit back.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. If the refund is not received within the time specified in the letter we reserve the right to reopen the complaint.
