March ******* I purchased a 2020 ******* Santa Fe for the amount of ****** dollars with an extended warranty. A week into having the vehicle the dashboard was goin in/out constantly as the vehicle was driven. I work remote so mainly weekends so before the 1st payment was due the suv was taken back to university kia to be checked out. Suv was there 7 days and gave us a written diagnosis check and said nothing was wrong. The next week and half my grandkids and myself got stranded again suv shut down, just literally locked up. A roll back was called and suv was taken to Greenway ******* in Decatur Al. There they perform a diagnostic check and said the margin in the steering column was bad and cause the suv to lock up and could have caused great danger. We paid for the diagnostic check and told them we had purchased extended warranty. ******* nor university kia would honor the warranty. My husband and I were told we would have to pay ***** to get suv repaired. When we contacted university kia they informed us they knew something was wrong with suv but did not have the means to do an extensive diagnostic check. We have lost our down payment in vehicle, the money for tag and insurance and I don't want this on my credit. We were done so wrong and we trusted university Kia to sell us a good suv. Did not get any enjoyment out of the vehicle only grief.Customer Answer

I have found a lawyer to represent this case. I was taking advantage of by University Kia and its plain to see they do not care. I am not feeling defeated and want this loan to be expunged from my credit as well as my down payment for the lemon that we were sold. Their plans seem to be is to just ignore Bbb as well as me the customer. Thanks for any assistance that you can further provide.Business Response

The flyer shows shows 5 prizes with a arrow above each winning number. On the left is the part to scratch for the winning #s mine shows 2500 winning number. Went to get our prize and they wouldn't give our winning prize. Tried giving us a miniature karaoke machine.Business Response

University Kia replaced my engine less than 3 years ago, took 4 months to do so. Then maintenanced my car and was supposed to do recalls on it 8/20, STILL DIDNT DO THE HEADLINER PLATES IVE BEEN THERE TWICE FOR. Now my car has caught on fire with me in it and burned up due to the recall with my high pressure fuel pump! This same business kept my car for months when my engine was replaced under the engine failure recall. I almost died and now I have a car payment due to their negligence! the car caught fire while I was in it. Up to date on all services and have been serviced by unversity Kia * months prior. Same H343*373536343*3*3631H that replaced the motor around 3 years prior. My vehicle was leaking gas emitting an extremely loud gas smell which caused my daughters asthma to flare up and the smell was stuck in our clothes. Yet they saw no issue with my vehicle! Upon further research there was issues with my engine that was replaced by the same company! I am devastated and this needs to be made right!

So apparently there was an issue with the new engines that were put into the vehicles. Ill attach the pictures below.
there is no fix, the fix was supposed to be heat resistant tape added to the fuel line but that wears down after a while and doesnt fix the actual issue.
there was a website I entered my vin on that told me my vehicle qualifies but all of a sudden its gone now. I enter my vin and nothing will load or I get an error message.

Youll also see on my carfax history report of my 2013 *** optima my starter was replaced brand new. I was have having issues with my car starting due to the gas leaking from the fuel pump onto my starter. Im unable to attach the video

Good evening; This issue is in regaurds to a vehicle diagnosis & recal repair On April 13th i dropped my 2016 *** *** off to the University Kia ********** in ********** **. I drove my car to *** and spoke to a team member; Caucasian woman; dark brown hair; about 5'6 in height and on the chubbier side. Spoke to her an told her of all the issue i had going on with my vehicle & recalls. She wrote down my information and notified me to leave my key and car behind and they would get the car in a bay as soon as possible. I told the woman that sounds good; notified her that i work nearly 12hour shift so please feel free to leave a voicemail as i cannot always answer the phone do to my work hours. several weeks go by and i had not heard anything back so i called back May 8th. i spoke to a technician and they stated that they called me and notified me that my car needed a battery as they could not keep the car running to diagnosis the issue. I told them i did not receive any voicemails regarding this issue. The person repeated the number back an i told them that the number was incorrect and that the number im currently calling from is the correct number. they said ok. well i was unwilling to pay ***** dollars for a new battery replacement so i stated that i would come on a weekend to replace the battery myself. I called a few times an did not get a answer. when someone finally did answer i was told that the repair team had left for the day and they keep the keys locked up and no one had access to the keys after the team left for the day. Meaning the car was in the back and i could not access it unless they were present.on June 26 i get a ticket from MDM wrecker saying they have my car and that it will be sold in august; i was not notified from *** ********** that my car would be impounded on June 6th. I was not notified until june 26th when i received a wrecker tag. I paid ******** to release vehicle *** did not notifiy me of impounding, no email, call or letter.Business Response

I had my car taken to University kia May 25th to get it serviced for recalls. Also because my car would not go over 40 mph. They called me a week later saying my car was ready however when i got in it, the same problems were occurring. Only this time my car wouldnt even go 20 mph. I returned my car because clearly it wasnt ready like they said. Three going on four weeks go by and i receive a call from ***** saying to call him back regarding my car on June 20th. I called him and i have not been able to get in touch with him regarding my vehicle. Today is June 22nd and i still have not heard anything. I havent had my car in a month and im becoming irate. This repair is not covered under warranty due to the mileage on ******************** vehicle. There have been multiple recalls on my Optima. I have taken it in for multiple recall repairs. Regardless of taking it in the engine had a catastrophic failure. At a different *** ********** for repair their techs said there was clearly no work done on my car for the recalls. So apparently they were taking the subsidy from *** corporate and just letting cars sit. Dangerous and no regard for public safety.Business Response

The last time the vehicle was at University Kia was 08/31/2021. ****************** stated it has, but I asked for paperwork to support that and she stated she could not provide it.. Recalls notices would be sent to a customer from Kia ************ and recall work and warranty work approved and paid for by *********** not University Kia. As the vehicle has not been here in over two years we can not make any determination about the status of the vehicle nor take any responsibility for the maintenance done on the vehicle by ******************* According to carfax the last service was done at Walmart. I am rejecting this response because: the ** is listed on University Kias web site is indicated to be ***************** but the man who called me introduced himself as ***********************. The first thing out of his mouth was, you didnt bring your car to us for recall work! Which I did. He proceeded to say I had to produce paper work to prove it. Because without proof I could just anything I want too. I am not able at the moment to lay hands on the paperwork because like most people I dont frame it and cryogenically store it. I mentioned my friend that helped me drop off remembered as well He said he didnt care who remembers what without paperwork He was crude and rude and Ill be glad to never have to speak with him again . I have left many voice mails and messages for Art to no avail.

When the ** called me he was loaded for bear. He came in hot and ready to argue. Vile, abusive person. Trying to bully anyone from saying anything about what theyre doing. Im not the only local Kia ***** this has happened to. *** reached out to others who have had the same or similarly awful experiences at University Kia. Never a single word of kindness or apology to be had. Theyre a scourge on ********** businesses.

I had an oil change in June 2023 on my *** ***** gt (2022). Nothing was wrong with my car at all being that it was brand new. They did an oil change and rotated my tires. After I received this service my car started making jerking and sputtering noises so I took it back to *** and was told that I had an oil change and it was probably a fluke and that it was nothing that could have been messed up on their end. I have only had this car for a year I drove it off the lot with no mileage on it. They told me that I could leave my car with them and it'll take a couple of weeks because they They don't know what it could be but I would have go pay for the service. I work and travel for school so i explained this to them and no solution. My car is under warranty still and many people have had this issue with *** ********* needs to be done. My car is new I have not hit any potholes or anything I had no issue until I drove it off the lot after having my oil changed. Something needs to be doneBusiness Response

The inspector and *** made a determination that there was no defect in materials or workmanship regarding ************* vehicle which caused the thermal event. Customer has been advised that she should contact her personal auto insurance for repair and contact *** ******** affairs for further details. I purchased a 2020 Kia **** from University Kia in **********, ** in June 2023. I paid $1,000 for the vehicle to be transported to *******. Shortly after arrival, I overheard a shooting sound in the car and noticed the car was blowing out hot air. I made an appointment at a local Kia ********** for a diagnostic assessment. It was discovered that low side a was missing and the ac wiring harness had been duct taped. Because of missing parts, the warranty has been voided.I called the ********** in ********** and received the run around. I called from a different number and was finally able to speak with someone from the service department. She informed me that they would not accept a diagnostic from another Kia **********, and I would have to return the vehicle myself to have their service department diagnose it. It is one of the hottest ******* on record, and I feel I have been defrauded.Business Response

Last July 5, 2022, I purchased a 2022 ********** from ********************* at University Kia. Process went fine. As it was used, I paid $3523 for the additional warranty and I was told that when I traded it in (which I indicated I woul be doing the next year) that this amount would be refunded.I purchased a new **** ********** from *********** (***************) on June 20, 2023 - and they provided me with the paper work I needed to give to University Kia in ********** to process my refund and assured me it was a fairly simple process.I have called University Kiaand left messages - I have emailed - I have used the text and chat contact feature - I have contacted the corporate - I have posted on the University Kia and Kia ************* FB pages - I have emailed and called ***************************** the sales manager - every day since June 28 and I have not received one call back.I am trying to get my refund on the warranty I purchased for a car that I no longer have - and no one at University Kia has called me back or respondedBusiness Response
