  On Thursday August 24, 2023, **** from Muddy Buddy's Plumbing came out to our house. We have a double wide trailer and a house on our property. I was at work and my wife and mother-in-law were here when he came out. I called Muddy ***** because I used them before when my mother in law's pipe broke over Christmas holiday and they were very helpful. I have 2 issues: 1) When he came out and looked at the pipe that was leaking that I had already dug up, my wife was told the pipe was too old and galvanized steel pipe and they could not work on it because of liability issues. He suggested we replace all the water lines from the meter to our trailer as well as to the house and provided an estimate of $2250.00- $2850.00 after getting with his boss a couple days later. 2) Because of the leak and the massive amount of water going through the meter we were shutting the water off with the exception of taking showers and doing laundry. He also told my wife that we could just leave the water on because the water company would write off the excess since it was a one-time thing. He said that they (the water company) will write off a large bill once a year for residents including if you have to fill a swimming pool etc. I am glad we did not take his advice because as I thought, I called the water company and asked them, and they said they DO NOT write off or discount any water that goes through the meter. They did say they could take some of the sewer charge away. We are on a septic tank and do not have sewers so there was and will be no "discount" or write-off of our water bill. Also, I had another plumber come out that was recommended by a friend, and they said it was NOT galvanized steel it was ABS pipe and they fixed it for $140.00 and is working fine today. I suggest statements untrue are not made to customers, especially when they can result in a lot of money being paid out by the customer. I sincerely hope he was not trying to take advantage of my **** in Law.

  It was so nice getting to text them to schedule/ any questions rather than phone calls at work. ***** was amazing as well as ******** at the office. I recommend them to anyone who asks about a plumber.
