They reported my car abandoned. They did not reach out to me or tell me what they had done when I requested pictures April 1st of the odometer reading to get a car repair loan. I learned the car had been sent to an auction yard 2 weeks before auction May 12th. He refused to send pictures or let me tow it home without paying legal fees. I do not owe them for a free diagnostics and never signed anything holding me liable for their legal fees. I requested pictures once I could get a loan for repairs. He told me he would go get them and send to me on April 1st but he never did. He didn't mention I would get a letter the following week stating it had been declared abandoned. They sold it 60 days exactly from the date they abandoned it. I have been scammed. My car financing company told me to call police and get a lawyer. I called the auction lot but they did not have my car as the letter stated. The owner told me it was at mr. Transmission and she was just screening calls for them. She told me to call them and go get it. This is when they refused to let me have it. After contacting car financing, they told me to contact police and go get it. I am trying to locate it now through the auction yard. A new title hasn't been issued.

I never received a bill. Mr. Transmission said he called. My phone records do not reflect that. He deliberately withheld information from me when trying to get the car pictures to get a car repair loan.

    BBB,

As you can clearly see in the attached image, a clean and clear title has been lawfully issued by the **************** pursuant to the Code of *******, Section ***** for abandoned vehicles. You may also note that the vehicle was towed into our place of business on January 19, 2023. We do not offer free inspection services as we only have two people working on vehicles since the pandemic took some of our mechanics. Our lift space is limited and we rely on quick turnarounds in order for business to keep flowing. Internal inspections are labor intensive as well. ********************** stated that he would get the money for repair but it may take a week or two. He was aware that it had internal transmission problems. After communicating about this, there were no further communications from him. ***** did not call us back nor did she contact our business until after the paperwork on abandonment was served. The finance company holding the lien, called ******, contacted us multiple times to talk about negotiating storage fees and what it would cost to pick up the vehicle. At that time, the lien holder offered $2,500 for the vehicle and wanted to file an order for repossession against ************* if we would accept the money. We had more than that in inspection service fees and storage. ***** tried communicating by asking for photos of the car to get a loan on a weekend through ******* which messages are sometimes not seen. However, my phone records will be able to prove she never called the business to ask for photos or mileage. She said in a nasty ****** review that she came on my property when we were closed and took pictures of the vehicle inside of the business, hence storage indoors to protect it. Why didnt she come into the center and approach management to work something out on the vehicle? Only coming forward after the actual title has been received and the new owner has replaced the transmission, tires, battery, spark plugs, windshield wipers, key fobs, warped wheels and more. The vehicle needed many repairs. Thats why the lien holder didnt want to pay more than $2500 for the vehicle. They stated it wasnt worth that much to them. The period of abandonment was absolute and approved by the state. The notice of abandonment stated the sale date and that was the time when the loan company or ************* had to show up and pay storage fees and the mechanics lean bill. Neither claimed the vehicle. Now Im receiving threats from ***** that she will come and take the vehicle which isnt even here and has been titled, registered and tagged. It has had $8,000 in repairs completed. Mr. Transmission did our best to contact ************* for months, since January 2023. It just seems she thinks it is now free to come pick up a car that isnt even titled to her. It wasnt before as it was titled to a lien holder. The lien holder doesnt even express the desire to try to pick it up and they held the actual title at time of proceedings. We follow the code of ******* and respect our state laws pertaining to abandonment. I dont appreciate the nasty threats, treatment, belittling comments and bashing of a 35+ year old business.
