I am rejecting this response because: I attempted to pay my car payment and a future payment with the understanding that I have been out of work on short term disability from October 23rd to Jan 28th. Credit Now Auto was asking for documentation of where my funds were being deposited at the time and I do and will not agree to those terms. I provided my recent check stubs from employer indicating that I was still employed but on leave of absence with pay, I also provided them medical documentation indicating the date of return to work status and ensured my direct deposits will resume from that date. Credit Now Auto would not accept my payments and repossessed the vehicle on Thursday Jan 16th, but when I received there letter in the mail on Jan 21st it indicated that they filed the repossession on Jan 17th, which indicates my vehicle was repossessed prior to the actual repossession date. I feel the repossession could have been avoided if they wouldve took my payments that were offered to them Jan 13th - Jan 16th which they denied. As a tax paying citizen who has rights and goes through things in life I think its unfair that I could not make a payment based upon provided documentation that was not required for them to receive payments. I am prepared to take this further due to the rudeness of their employees and management while communicating with them ( I was hung up while talking.)
Sincerely,
***** *****count the short term disability payments are being distributed too. It is my wifes account. She is not legally bound or under any type of agreement with Credit Now so there is no reason for her bank statements to be requested. I wanted to pay all of January & the first payment for *************** refused to take the payments. They rather push this until they can repossess it. They repossessed the vehicle 1/16/25 after treating me unfairly, hanging up on me & refusing my payment. I have tried to pay them all week and they made each day more difficult & continued to call me back with no solution other than providing my wifes bank statements. They also would not provide proof of previous payments or the contract that states I am required to provide this information just to make payment. I have had nothing but problems from this insolent ************* employees. From the lies, extra fees I have been charged and all. I will be contacting a lawyer.Customer Answer

Notification was received that repossession order was placed 1/17/2025 & the car was recovered 1/17/2025. This is untrue. The vehicle was taken into possession on 1/16/2025 after being told for 4 days that it was already in repossession status & that I needed to pay to call off the repo. I essentially was denied to make payment after I would not show bank statements of my wifes account. Who has no legal contracts or obligations with Credit Now. I had spoken to several accountants including ***** & ******* about my leave of absence and the day payment would be made. I was refused to pay what was owed all of January & Februarys first payment. I will be pursuing legal action.Business Response

On 6/4/22 my husband and myself purchased a vehicle from credit now. On 6/5/22 we let them know about a mechanical problem with the vehicle. After two months of waiting because we were told that their service department was behind, we finally had the vehicle in for service. We were told that the vehicle needed a new motor because the head gaskets were blown. We dropped the vehicle off 7/22/2022. We received vehicle back from repairs on 8/31/2022 we picked it up the next day. One week later there was another mechanical issues and we took it back. We were told that there was nothing was wrong with it and they cleared the codes. One week later the check engine lights come on again this time we were told that they didnt have the equipment needed to diagnose the problem so they charged us to take it somewhere else. The problem diagnosed were the catalytic converters that is when they told us that we would be responsible for the cost of repairs and now will not communicate with us about the latest mechanical issues. The latest mechanical issues is the used engine that was put into the vehicle has major mechanical issues as well. Multiple oil leaks and the head gaskets were blown on this engine as well. Cannot get anyone to communicate with us even after leaving messages for weeks on end. After the last diagnosis the vehicle is unable to be driven without thousands in repairs.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because: this does not address the unwillingness of the company to uphold the warranty on the vehicle. This car has not been fixed, and it continues to have issues. The lack of professionalism by Credit Now is my reason for leaving, and this was an issue long before I left the company. *********** wants to use personal reasons for not upholding a warranty that is within my contract. This is also retaliation.
Sincerely,
*************************by the ************* and I am willing to pay my $100 deductible as well. I am worried about retaliation from the business and lack of willingness to assist and diagnose. I just want my car fixed.Vendor is attempting to rip me off with CPI coverage on my vehicle when my insurance is paid and up to date, We've also tried multiple times to have our vehicle repaired under warranty and every time they've looked at it nothing gets done to repair the problem. This business has gone out of their way to try charging me for insurance when I already have a policy in place through Alfa! This is unacceptable from a business claiming that they want to help people!! I want EVERY SINGLE ***** of that CPI charge removed from my account and my vehicle repaired! This vehicle has been in their repair shop at least 3 times since I purchased it and their incompetent management and service center will not take the time to properly diagnose my vehicle! Again this is unacceptable to not even attempt to honor their warranty!

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me in regards to the upholding my warranty. What are the steps I need to take to have my vehicle repaired? I would like to use ***************************************** for diagnostic testing as stated in my request. Also, with the supplemental insurance, my insurance has not changed or lapsed. There should not be a charge for insurance on my account. I was not told I needed to send over a new copy from my insurance company until after Credit Now told me I was going to be charged and it was too late to send in the new copy. What steps can be made within your process to make this better for customers to understand. I feel this was not handled properly and to force people to pay for insurance they already have is bad business.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: based on what is said you are not honoring your warranty. There is documentation of me trying to get my vehicle repaired 1 month after the purchase time. As well as multiple times after that. Your service department has not done any diagnostic tests on the vehicle. I want my vehicle fixed as I have been trying to do for several months. This is not a new problem. These are documented in your systems as well as email proof.
Sincerely,
