I recently brought my two dogs to Huntsville Pet Vet and had a very disappointing experience. They attempted to charge me over $80 per dog, justifying these exorbitant prices with a $17 rabies shot, which is quite high compared to other places. They claimed they thoroughly checked both dogs by listening to their hearts and lungs, but in reality, they only properly examined one dog.For the second dog, they merely put a muzzle on him and tried to justify this as part of the reason for the high charges. Muzzling a dog should be standard practice for vet techs, especially when recommended by the owner, and it shouldnt be used as an excuse to inflate the bill.Ultimately, they waived the fees, but the incorrect charges and their nervous attempt to justify them left a bad impression. While their customer service was generally polite, the overall experience was frustrating and felt like an attempt to overcharge for minimal services. I expected better transparency and professionalism.

Terrible customer service from the office staff. The vet techs ate very nice. once they bought out Governor's **** which we used for 5+ years, the quality plummeted. If you love your pet(s), this vet is not going to meet your needs.

A new vet has taken over the old Governors Choice Animal. ************* is a sham and after money. I called around to check what other vets charge. Just for his x-rays he charges $260. I've talked to 5 different vets so far and the closest charge is $180.He wouldn't even come out and speak to me when I picked up my pet. The tech went back twice just to verify a question. Also on top of the exaggerated fees I thought I read where he was charging $3.50 because I used a credit card. I'm being charged and additional 3.5% for a total of $22.59 extra. This man may be able to take care of an animal but only has his bottom line as motivation.
