    11/5/2024 $1000 We needed the movers to move our furniture from our basement/garage back to our first floor. Overall, they did their job. There were a few times that they needed my help to get my furniture back together properly and I happily helped for the end result. The problem we have is that one of the individuals took my sons ******** Switch system, case and games with them when they left our home. We have filed a police report, and we are currently working with the company to attempt to get them to replace this. There were 3 movers and 1 mover quit the company within days of our job. The other movers and the Director of Operations both told us over the phone that they believe he did take the ********. Well end up spending almost double if we have the replace the system, the cases and all of the games that were taken. The police informed me today that this company is notorious for hiring felons. I wish we had thought to check for this companys reputation.

    We are aware that the customer claims they cannot locate their ******** Switch and we have made the customer aware that we have questioned the movers present in their home and all movers denied any wrong doing. It is our understanding that the customer reached out directly to the movers after services were completed to question them about the missing items. Since those conversations would have happened on personal lines, we cannot speak to what information was exchanged. We can, however, confidently say that no employee of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK made any comments internally or to the customer that was meant to indicate admission of guilt as there seems to be no definite evidence to support that a theft occurred. While we understand the frustration that the customer is feeling, we suggested that they reach out to the police to move the matter forward and we explained that we would fully cooperate with the investigation as we also want nothing more than for the missing items to be found. We understand that the customer feels strongly that the only possibility is that the items were stolen and there is no other possible culprit than one of our employees, we respect our legal system and understand that evidence is necessary before finding someone guilty of a crime. Should the police feel there is evidence to support a crime, we will gladly work with the customer on how to make the situation right. To further clear the air, we run background checks on every employee that we hire. We will be addressing that claim directly with the officer that allegedly made such a claim.
