      I am rejecting this response because:
      It does not answer the question why conduct a credit check if your policy will not let you approve a loan? The purpose of a credit check is to determine the credit worthiness of the applicant. There is no reason to check the worthiness if you are not approving the loan.

      As a financial institution we are prohibited from discouraging a consumer from submitting a credit application. We disclosed, in writing, that a hard inquiry would occur regardless of whether or not you intended to occupy the vehicle. It is ultimately the consumers decision to authorize a hard inquiry on their credit file. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to serving your financial needs in the future.

      I am writing to bring to your attention the fraudulent activity on my credit report as I have recently discovered multiple errors. I am a victim of identity theft, and I have filed an official complaint with ***************** to address the situation.Upon reviewing my credit report, I found the following accounts that were opened without my knowledge or authorization:Redstone FCU Opened Date: 10-Feb-21 Account Number: *********** Balance: $34,966 These accounts are not mine, and their presence on my credit report is a direct result of identity theft. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and would like to know the next steps in getting these inaccuracies corrected on my credit report.

      Union (RFCU) takes all claims of fraudulent activity seriously and investigates
      any claims of ID theft. Based on our investigation, which involved confidential
      information available to RFCU, we cannot confirm your claim of this loan being
      the result of ID Theft. Please reach out to our Fraud Department Management at
      1-800-234-1234 to discuss what evidence we reviewed during our investigation
      and to determine what may be needed from you to re-open your claim. If our
      Fraud Management Team does not hear back from you regarding this matter, we
      will consider this situation resolved.

      I am not liable for these debts with Redstone Federal Credit Union. These debts were written off **** years ago and should no longer be on my credit report.

      Upon receipt of the BBB consumer complaint, all accounts were researched in accordance with our guidelines. Weve researched your statement about the time frame for reporting and confirmed that the date of first delinquency falls within the timeline outlined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The Fair Credit Reporting Act is a federal law enacted to promote the accuracy,fairness, and privacy of consumer information contained in the files of consumer reporting agencies. As such, we are required to report accurate information related to consumers credit history. Additionally, any debts outstanding remain owed to the credit union.
