    ******* reacted inappropriately when I questioned the reason for a return appointment after seeing an oral surgeon about dental implant. ********* spent 10 minutes denigrating bridges as an alternative to implants. Then charged me a copay and filed with my insurance. I was puzzled and wrote him to ask why the unnecessary appointment to run down a bridge, which was his option originally. He called and offered a VERY weak reason for the app't. It finally dawned on me that he was probably thinking of accounts receivable instead of educatiing me. I'm a retired MD. At my next scheduled app't he interrupted the hygienist to point out a nasty cavity in my teeth and said the crown would have to come off and extensive work done. I had just gone thru that with him earlier. He took oft the crown and drilled down to the tooth roots and then handed me off to an oral surgeon. Some want to get in the money instead of using common sense in the health industry, it seems I reacted just as he had hoped. I was emotional and said 'damn'. I'm a dental hysteric by history. I said how could I prevent this and he replied 'technique' and walked out. I got control of my fear and apologized to the hygienist and went to pay my bill. She followed me and gave me a SULCABRUSH designed for my receding gums and the space between my crowns. Later I received a dismissal letter from him citing that I swore in front of a pregnant hygienist. How did he know all about what happened after he left the operatory. Listening in nearby, is my guess.
