**************** is terrible and the answer to my question of when, how or why was: I don't know. Unacceptable since they were assigned to us by American Home Shield who had to answer my question. Getting a new A/C unit took 7 weeks when 3 weeks were promised, got a different brand than we expected. The installer who came out was excellent but he was the exception.

We're very sorry our customer service fell short of meeting your expectations. However, I would like to clarify a few issues with related to your warranty claim. Your initial claim was submitted as a tune-up through your warranty company. Once we found there was a failure, a new work request had to be place with your warranty company. This all occurred on April 8. You paid for your upgrade through your warranty on April 22. Your warranty company shipped your selected unit to us and with shipping time, we were able to install your new unit on May 8. While it took a month from start to finish, the unit could not be ordered until payment was received. Again, we apologize for the customer service you received and we will research all phone calls between the customer and our employees for additional employee coaching.

Best Care was sent out by our home warranty service. I filed a complaint on Thursday, May 16th. Best Care contacted me and couldn't get to me until Tuesday, May 21st. Technician came to my house on the 21st. After being in my house for about a little over an hour, he stands in my kitchen and tells me that the problem was the reverser valve. He files his report with my home warranty service and what was put in the report didn't match what he told me while he was standing in my kitchen. In the report he stated, "a piece of clothing fried the zone board". I am no technician HOWEVER I do know that there is a difference between the reverser valve and a zone board. I called and complained and the service manager came to my house and was there a while. He also said it was the zone board and a damper issue. Asked for an estimate and was told this was "normal wear and tear" so now our home warranty company will not cover cost of repairs. This house is only 4 years old and I think that the term "normal wear and tear" is utter BS. My other issue with this company is on Weds May 22nd, I was told I was on the scheduled service list for that day and I was "next on the list" at 4:30pm. At 5:47 I called again and AGAIN was told "next on list". I changed my plans to be home and NOBODY SHOWED UP OR CALLED! Horrible customer service. I will NOT be using this company to get my repairs done. BTW, the service manager never got us an estimate after May 23rd visit. It is now May 27th and I still don't have an estimate to fix my problem. Doesn't matter now as I have a second opinion scheduled to come out tomorrow and will gladly pay somebody who has better customer service skills than this so called company. You need to figure out a better name, BEST Care doesn't suit your organization.

Best Care was sent out by our home warranty company to diagnose our UPSTAIRS hvac unit. After the visit we discovered that the technician had disconnected wires on our DOWNSTAIRS unit (the one that was working fine). They repeatedly tried to sell us a new unit instead of the repair covered by our home warranty. We felt very uneasy with this company both due to their hard sell tactics and the wires that were disconnected. We assume that they disconnected the wires to force us into a quick decision. It didnt work. After getting a second opinion on our own dime we went with a reputable company who didnt try to hard sell us. I would steer clear of this company based on our recent experience.

************** did not touch the other unit. Our **************** Representative notated very clearly it was your upstairs unit that wasn't working and ************** notated which unit he inspected. The warranty company is very specific with us about only inspecting what is on the work order. Additionally, ************** notated that the evaporator coil on your upstairs unit (which is 20 years old) was completely rusted out and leaking. If another company came behind us and filled the system with refrigerant, a system with a known refrigerant leak, it will work until it all leaks out again. In situations like these with very old units and catastrophic failures, we like to give customers options in the event they're interested in purchasing a new unit rather than pay the out-of-pocket expenses ($2,175) associated with replacing a part using their home warranty. We simply attempt to provide different options to customers - there are no hard-sell tactics. We apologize if our efforts were misunderstood.

Based on what actually happened and the mistruths in the above response, I stand by my opinion that this company is not straightforward and upstanding in their business practices. Beware.

Best Care was assigned as a provider by our home warranty company to come out and fix our upstairs AC unit. We have been rescheduled 4 times, going on nearly 2 months of trying to get our AC fixed with ********** Their reasoning for canceling/rescheduling is always due to technicians calling out, or quitting. My children sleep upstairs and its ***** degrees at nightthey cry because it is so hot. If you need your AC unit serviced or fixed in a timely manner do not use this company, you will just be disappointed time and time again with their inability to get the work done.

We are very sorry that our staffing issues caused an inconvenience to our customers. While we would never intentionally cause a delay in service, we did the best we could while also prioritizing customers with only one non-working air conditioner. We were out at this customer's home yesterday and found that the unit was not working because it had become unplugged in the attic. The unit is now up and running. We can't apologize more for the delay.

Terrible customer service from the first person that answers the phone to the tech to the general manager to the owner. Each person is just as evasive as the next. HVA unit has now been out a month while they look for a part. Kept calling trying to get updates and the only answer they had was when the part comes in we will be out there. This is the office staff only. How dare someone else call and try to resolve the problem. Repeatedly tried to speak to management and they wouldnt let me, tried to get the owners number and no one would give it to me. ***** is his name and you can find his number on some different sites. Now instead of a fan they want thousands to replace the unit. Do not have them out to your house.

Best Care technicians installed a new HVAC system in my home today and they were outstanding. They removed the old system and installed a new 3 ton unit in a little under 6 hours. Completely cleaned up and removed old system and all debris and packaging.

On 09/15/2022, my HVAC unit stopped cooling properly & I noticed ice on the hose extending from one of my units. My warranty company, American Home Shield, sent ************** Services the next day who diagnosed my unit as having a bad compressor. Before ************** replaced the compressor, I had to approve and pay for out of pocket exp of $1400 stating the compressor was covered but only $10/lb of Freon was covered & their charge for Freon was $175/lb and that I needed 8 lbs. They refused to disc costs of ***** and I am not sure how they knew in advance how much Freon they were going to need. I went ahead and paid for non covered cost and they proceeded. Within 2 days my unit was doing the exact same thing requiring my warranty company to send them out again. Once again I was told my compressor had gone out They came out again and once again told me the compressor was bad stating the warranty company makes them use refurbished parts & this happens all the time. They ordered another compressor & replaced once again a week later. Compressor broke down again in less than 24 hrs. I called AHS to inquire about their requirements of using refurbished parts and they informed me this was not true. They stated they pay a stated fee for work performed & had nothing to do with type parts contractor uses. At this point I had lost confidence in their ability to resolve my issue as I did not feel they were being honest with me. I asked *** for second opinion but was told my only other option was to hire my own contractor and pay myself and submit to them for reimbursement. They sent Best Home out again but this time they stated I needed replacement of several parts to include air handler unit which is inside house. They never set foot inside. I was once again informed I would have to pay for air handler as this was non covered. I called AHS again and again requested 2nd opinion. They finally agreed and sent another company who informed me the compressor had been wired wrong.

We have left multiple messages for this customer --both prior to this review and since it was published. There are some inaccuracies with the statements that we'd like to provide clarity on, specifically regarding the compressor. It's not a requirement to use refurbished parts; however, the warranty company has approved the use of refurbished compressors. They order theirs from the same place we do. We'd very much like the opportunity to talk with this customer and our Branch Manager is going to keep trying.

Best Care Home Services started working on my ** Unit on 08/02/2022. The technician installed a Capacitor part but didn't solve the problem. Then the technician ordered a Hard Start part and installed it on 08/10/2022. The ** Unit ran for less than 24 hours after the installed of Hard Start part. The technician came back out on 08/12/2022 in the morning. Technician then informed me the ** Unit had a large leak and them the technician enter the house to check out the Air Handler in the attic for leaks. The technician said the coil on the Air Handler was leaking. Then someone called me from Best Care Home Services after the technician left my house and said ****** would like to come out to tell me about my option on 08/12/2022 evening. ****** came out and tried to sell me on installing a new outside ** unit along with installing the Air Handler unit that's in the house attic. ****** also told me that they could install the new ** Unit system on Monday 08/15/2022 because i shouldn't be breathing in the R22 Freon from the leak. When ****** said my ** Unit are using the R22 Freon i never then he didn't know what he was talking about because my ** Unit used 410a Freon and was manufacture in 2009. Best Care Home Services tried to charger me $175.00 per pound on the Freon if i decide to go with them to install the new ** Unit system. Other ** Companies only charger $70.00 per pound for Freon. I then decide to get a second opinion from another ** Company, The second opinion ** Company didn't find a leak on the Air Handler in the attic and did find the leak on the Muffler line on the outside ** Unit. They fix the leak 08/16/2022 and my ** Unit is running fine. I wouldn't recommend No One or a Bear in the Wood to ********************** because of their not a truth worthy company.

We are currently having discussions with this customer. It seems there could be two separate leaks -- one on the condenser that the other company found and the leak on the air handler that ************** found. Our intent is never to deceive or to be untrustworthy. It doesn't benefit us as a company or the customer. We will continue to work with this customer to ensure satisfaction.

After contacting this customer, he is very adamant that there is no leak in the evaporator coil in the air handler. He has stated that his technician did not find a leak. We have offered to reimburse him for the service fee he paid to his warranty company. We were also just notified that the customer is requesting cash in lieu of repairs needed based on our diagnosis from the warranty company for repairs that his private company found were not necessary. We hold our technicians to a very high standard. We would have no reason to diagnose a failure where there isn't one and there is nothing to gain by doing so. We do hope that this customer uses the cash payout to repair his unit and he has no further issues.
