I filed a claim through my home warranty for a repair to my tankless water heater. Madison Plumbing came out on Dec 27, 2024 - concluded that the flame rods needed to be replaced - although that was contrary to what the manufacturer suggested and all the *** videos on ******* for a Code 11. However, the unit is about 7 yrs old so I have no problem with adding new parts. The problem is this company's lack of professionalism and timelines. On Jan 3rd I was told they were ordering the parts that day because the parts company was closed for the holidays. On Jan. 16th Mad/Plum called to ask for the Model number of my water heater so they could order the part. On Jan 21st, I was told that they had to "outsource the part order" because they could not find it. - In reality, my warranty company decided to order the part themselves because they were fed up with the excuses. The extremely common parts she was supposedly having trouble locating - I found on the website of three different companies for less than $50 and could be delivered within 2 - 5 days. I finally elected to handle the claim myself and have another company come out. I have never in my life experienced such incompetence and dishonesty from a service company. The audacity to even imply that you have been looking for a part since the end of December is unacceptable. Moreover, calling me several weeks after the diagnostic to ask for the model number was extremely telling of how unorganized Madison Plumbing Service truly is. While I am sure most customers have not received an experience as bad as mine - it still doesn't excuse the fact that my family has been without hot water for the past 4 weeks during what has been the coldest days of the season.

The base of our toilet was leaking water, at the junction of the floor and toilet. A was sealing ring sits between the toilet and the floor. I suspected that the wax sealing ring was leaking and needed to be replaced. To fix the problem, my wife called Madison Plumbing Service. Promptly, they fixed the leak, installing a new wax ring and supply line(?)Also, they caulked the joint between the toilet and floor. This should not have been done. You do not want water to sit on your floor, under the toilet, between the wax seal and the outer edge of the toilet. If water gets past the wax seal (it's not supposed to), you want to know about it, as soon as possible, and get it fixed (again)! Caulking the joint (as they did) "hides" a potential, future problem! Why? The toilet sits on linoleum and *** flooring. Standing water (that leaked past the wax seal) will rot out the *** and wood flooring. A big potential problem! If the wax seal fails, and the toilet leaks, I want to know about it, as soon as possible, not cover it up!
