My son received a routine cleaning in June of 2022. At the time my son and were double covered by MetLife and ********** Blue Shield (which meant our cleanings were covered at 100%). I received the first bill and a call from the dentist office in November of 2023 (which stated my sons account was 90 days over). Mind you this was the very first bill and call I received; and not only that he has had two additional dental appointments and not once did anyone try to collect a pass due balance. I called Smile Makers to resolve the issue and was told someone would call me back (never heard from anyone, so I went to the office personally) I was assured that the issue would be resolved because they failed to bill the insurance company in the allotted amount of time. Well, I received another past due bill on 1/2/2024 (stating my account was 120 past due). Apparently, they have 180 to submit a claim to the insurance company and they failed to do so. I have been a loyal customer to this dentist office for over 25 years and I've always kept my account current (this dentist office is definitely on the decline). I have an excellent credit score and I don't play about my credit and at this point they are trying to ruin it because they failed to submit the claim. I would like smile makers to make the necessary adjustment to my account and stop harassing me because their billing department failed to submit a claim in a timely fashion. I should also mention that my son and I both received routine cleaning in June of 2022 (my claim was paid at 100% because they submitted it, but his was not). Smile Makers is a joke.

After reviewing this complaint I can find no records of this patient ever being a patient at SmileMakers Dentistry. This complaint must be in error.

How then if they have no record, am I receiving a past due Bill in my son's name if he isn't a patient.  As I stated I have been a client of this office for the past 25 years and my son for the last two years.  No worries once this matter is cleared up, we definitely won't been returning to Smile Makers!  This place is definitely on the decline, and it is unfortunate!  We will be moving on to someone who knows who their patients are once this matter is resolved.

I have no records of this patient. If she has a bill that has been sent please provide me with a copy so I may see what she is referring to.

If you don't respect the fact that I have been a client of yours for 25 years then clearly you don't value me, my family or my time.  I will not be sending you a copy of the bill as you have it.  why would I make a false claim against your business.  You nor your company are worth my time or energy, but what I will not play about is my money and credit.  That you will most definitely not play with. good day to you and your on the decline businesses SIR!
