I had a flood late April 2024, and servpro was called out.the advised giving by my insurance (Staye Farm). I hired servpro only because that's who my insurance have business with. Later, when it time to do the repairs( servpro was paid in full ) . So everything would go smoothly so I was told. We'll it didn't! They pretty much disappeared until I called my adjuster and servpro guy.We both received excuses. They tried to swith the flooring and I called them out on it. So since the trust was broken, I did not want any part of servpro to come in my home. ********** told e that I hired them and it was nothing they could do. I still proceed to ask State Farm for help( just to be a 3 party on advice). The ower was contacted. The boss contacted me . The conversation went on for a month and a half. I still have pictures and videos to show that no one came to my home while I was in a hotel fir 2 weeks. Later the boss, figured he would offered me a tiny refund.( very insulting). He came back later to offered another tiny refund.( to sorry to say ma'am we made an mistake) after talking with legal advisor. I contacted the boss. Then he replied that servpo decide not to work with me anymore. The boss brought a check to my home with a smirk on his face, saying I needed to " money" and he will deliver the countertops also( next day). And I can pay someone else to finish the work. I begged him to pay for the hit water tank to be back install. The only thing servpro did aa far as repair. Was painting the small laundryroom, kitchen, put the kitchen sink cabinet in and painted it as well. As of Sept. 2024 my home still look like a hurricane hit it. I had to put the debris from the sink on the curbside myself ( single older woman). The most disturbing part is : the contractor wanted to come back but the boss said no. He even tried to throw the young contractor under the bus. That's when I said I need to speak up and out to everyone about this situation. Still trying to fix my home now

Servpro sent a contractor after being hit by hurricane and h,le did not have electricians licenses, therefore he was not able to do proper repairs and left molded installation in my walls.

My name Keith Sexton, owner of St James Movers here in Montgpmery, Al. I have been in this industry pushing 32 years. About August of 2019, we met with Benjamin Richardson about potentially handling the moving for Servpro's customers. Many of the Servpro stores used professional movers in lieu of In-House crews that tend to be inexperienced at handling various tasks that go along with relocating furniture so that the painters, plumbers, etc can come and begin work. For an entire year, we heard nothing. Then, in June on 2020, we received a call. After talking to the mgr. We agreed to relieve the In-House crew of any moving needs Serv-Pro's customers may have.
To spare the long, dragged out details, I will simply state that we ended up handling 6 move outs and move-ins. We provided the Manpower, trucks, packing materials, you name it. There was never a complaint about any of our work as we have always maintained the highest level of service. By the end of October I realized we were going to have a problem. We were still getting calls to handle jobs but Servpro had failed to clear us as one of their vendors. Still, periodically the calls would come and every time we responded. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to turn in invoices because we were not a recognized vendor by their staff. It has now been almost 2 years and we have yet to be paid. I sent an email about a month ago only to receive a call from the new manager essentially hinting that my mention of an attorney was me bluffing. We were never provided the names of the customers so I could not invoice now if I wanted to. I have never been able to speak to the owners of ServPro. At this point it looks as though a civil claim is going to be the only alternative we have left. Very unprofessional for a company that tries so hard to put forth a good image. Some things are going on behind the scenes here that are cause for concern. Who works a company to the tune of $5,200, then ducks paying them? ServPro!
