On 01/15/2023. My husband and I switched back to Cricket from Spectrum Mobile because the reception was so horrible. We had switched from Cricket to Spectrum Mobile earlier because they told us about the lower prices for the same service - but as I said, that was not true Weve paid for $60 x 2 months of service with Spectrum Business committed to provide mobile service for cheaper price and same reception I seriously never complain but felt this was just ridiculous. When we ported over to Cricket, the Spectrum lady set up our phones for deactivation before receiving the port request. She explained that the phones are still in service and once the port request comes through then our numbers will switch to Cricket. Ok cool, no problem. The issue with that is, as Ive learned on 01/17 is that they cant receive port requests for phones set up for deactivation. I called Cricket on 01/17 to see why our phones werent receiving calls and it was because of what I just explained above. When we three-way called Spectrum to see why they havent ported our numbers over, she was like oh ya they were deactivated, thats why we never received a port. Ok well that *****. I lost my phone number of ******************** more money to switch back and forth because of activation fees. Sure, something may have been lost in communication, but it is Spectrums job to know what theyre doing. I felt I was treated quite poorly as Spectrum was extremely unapologetic about the whole situation, didnt acknowledge the incompetence of their employee, and just kept explaining that phones cant be deactivated before porting. Ok, cool, why did that person from Spectrum do that then? There was no offering of making it right, no apology for their people not knowing what theyre doing. It was just crazy! I was just treated like some idiot. I asked if there was anything they could do to make it right and the answer is basically that they dont really care. Just incredible
