    I was seen at Medical West 05/27/2022. I received a letter in the mail stating that Medical West reviewed my account and felt that I met the eligibility requirements to qualify for medical financial assistance. I called the number on the letter spoke to ****** ************ who advised the program was for disabled or people that make less. I asked if she worked in ************ she advised her program is different from ************. She provided number to call for ************ ************. I called spoke to rep who advised that this bill was handled by Bessemer Emergency Physicians LLC. I called Bessemer Physicians at ************ spoke to a rep regarding P1907820 balance $1,069.00. I explained I am having financial difficulties due to Covid 19 the rep explained that I would need to send an email regarding my financial hardship to Dr-********************* I made a follow-up call that following day to ensure the email was received the rep explained that it could take up to 60 days for the email to be entered into their system and that my account P190782 would be placed on hold until then. The next week I received another bill in the mail I called to express my concern of avoiding collections while my financial hardship letter was being reviewed, I was told my account was placed on hold until September 15th. That next week I received another bill that stated Final Notice unless I responded immediately my account would be sent to a collection agency due date at the bottom was 07/26/2022 less than a month from my first bill. I wrote multiple emails and did multiple follow up calls each time the rep assured me that my case would be reviewed handled properly. I made my last call in September of 2022 and was told that they had just entered my financial hardship case into the system and to give them time to review. No communication in October, November or December. I received a collections letter on 1/30/2023 in the amount of $2093 double the amount from *****************.
