      2/2/2023: I called, spoke with ***** of Coleson Plumbing/Gas, & requested an appointment for home gas fireplace ******************* instruction after confirming that was the type of work this business did. I asked cost of service & forms of payment accepted & was told $189 because it involved using meters for measurements- & any payment form was acceptable. Both of us residents are over 60yo.2/3/2023: Near 12:30pm, *** called to offer a service appointment for that day at approx 1pm- to which I agreed. Service was performed by *********************. He started off with a joke then proceeded to start up the fireplace while giving operation instruction. *** stated it was in excellent working order- in fact better than he expected to find. When I asked, he said that I'd never have an issue with leakage of carbon monoxide. *** also looked briefly at the gas water heater in the garage & gave an opinion of its function status & cost estimate for replacement. He emailed the receipt and departed. 2/3/2023: About 6pm, the sitting room's carbon monoxide detector that I already had began continuously beeping. I tested the detector which confirmed its functioning &** detection, closed the fireplace's gas line, turned off the wall switch, & shutoff the flame. I opened the doors & called the local fire ***** who came in a timely manner. ** was detected in the sitting room in amounts of 30- 86ppm, the fireplace pilot was turned off, & all 3 doors to the house kept opened till ** detection level was 0-1 with doors closed too. The 2 firemen said that the fireplace shouldn't be used till repaired/reserviced & they then departed. 2/3/2023: Near 7pm, I called Coleson & the phone was answered by *****. I informed him of the ** leak the same day as service was done, asked about the next step, was told that *** wasn't on night call but would be contacted, & someone would get back with me. That was the last communication I've had with either- neither answered my calls to them or since called me.
