I signed a contract with Forbes Consulting, LLC (Al license ****** on **/2/2024 to replace my roof & have to date paid the contractor $11,965.29 - the amount of the roofing contract minus an amount in dispute. I paid $8500 on Oct 2 as requested, so he could order the supplies. The supplies were delivered to my carport on Oct 24th. ********************** completed the roofing job on Oct 30 & that same day I gave him the $3,465.29 that was due upon completion as agreed in the contract. There is a disagreement regarding a repair that I had to make due damage caused by the contractor's employees during the roofing job, but the contract states that "Should there be a punch list we will determine a fair cost ... that can be held back from final payment until the list is completed." I have not heard from Mr. ********************** regarding the way we will settle the repair bill from the damage, so I have held the final $3,062.59. On 12/16/2024 I received a Notice of Non **************** to Lien from **************************************, the company where ********************** purchased the material to fix my roof. ******************************** stated there is an outstanding bill of $7851.74 from Forbes Consulting for the materials they purchased for my roof & if not paid they will place a lien on my house.I contacted Mr. ******* ********************** on Dec 16 & told him about the issue. He said he would check on the problem & would get back to me. I texted Mr. ********************** on Dec 17 to find out the status about the unpaid ********* said he would go to ******** the next day (Dec 18) & promised to take care of the problem & would notify me as soon as it was "taken care of". As of today (Dec 19th) I have not heard from Mr. **********************.The 2nd issue is about the repair bill for the air conditioner pipes that had to be replaced because they punctured the line that holds the freon when they nailed the shingles to the roof deck. The bill was $2509. We need to resolve that cost dispute so I can get a certified check for the final amount owed.
