The contractor was employed to remodel a bathroom. Contractor tore up 3 layers of bathroom flooring, as requested, and replaced the floor. The floor was cut incorrectly, not allowing accommodation for the flange (to connect to the sewer). This error was corrected by another individual. The contractor also installed the waterproof vinyl flooring incorrectly, which also had to be corrected. Contractor was also engaged to replace a spigot in a second bathroom, which he installed but did not attach - the spout was left hanging. This had to be redone by another individual. Contractor installed shower incorrectly, not according to directions - he didn't install the seal that came with the installation kit. Instead, he smeared a sealant (?) on the shower, which he or his worker tracked throughout the house. Contractor installed trim over drywall from which nails were sticking out, resulting in improper installation. Another individual had to remove the trim, hammer in the nails flush with the drywall, then, reinstall. Contractor advised that we had a "bad leak" which required him to install a new water line. This water line was supposed to be installed a minimum of 14" deep, however, the contractor installed in 4" deep. He did not bury the line, leaving it sticking up in the shape of a rainbow. This was corrected by another individual, who also had to bring in dirt to bury the line sufficiently deep. Contractor bent the sides of the water cover, which needed to be corrected by another individual. A replacement water cover would have cost $150. In addition, the water in the home, where we were living, had to be shut of for 4 days because of the "leak". Contractor reversed hot and cold water lines (issues with sinks and washing machine.) Contractor was arguementive when advised of errors. He was aware the work needed to be completed by October *** (started on ********** but did not show up regularly. Threw trash in driveway. Very unprofessional, seeming unaware of codes.
