    Business Response

3-8-2023   This email is in response to a complaint about our business, Collins Contracting. First, I would like to apologize for our delayed response.

This customer filed a complaint three weeks after services were performed. She did reach out to us with a complaint but her concerns were different than what she filed with the BBB.

On the day the project was finished, the customer showed her appreciation and told us she was more than happy with the completed job. She later called and complained of issues with the baseboards, tears in the kitchen floor and cut in the dining room floor. The customer was offered to have the kitchen floor redone, and she declined.

The customer was fully aware that the floor joists would be replaced. She was given a materials list, as she was the one purchasing the materials.

No materials were cut inside the home with our saws. Also, our saws have a safety guard on them to prevent unwanted cuts from happening.

The customer was asked what we could do to make things right with her and she responded nothing.

I do not feel that a refund is warranted because the customer was aware of the work being done and purchased the materials for the work. The customer also declined our offer to come look at the complaints she expressed and repair what was needed.

I will provide before and after pictures of the project.  I will also provide pictures of text conversations with the customer.

3-21-2023  The issues the plumber fixed was not issues due to our mess. The issues were due to having plumbing that froze and busted in the freezing temps we had in December. Collins Contracting fixed what we could to save her money and the customer was told she would need to call a plumber because the job was more than we were comfortable doing. We offered to come and look at the damage ********************* was claiming to her floors and she declined. We are lead to believe the damage happened from someone else she had working in the house and the blame is being placed on us. We will not be issuing a refund. --
