      I was filling bankruptcy and my auto was to be left out of the bankruptcy so that I may continue to have my vehicle. RiverFall Credit Union in **********, ** Downtown closed my checking account in June of 2022 without notifying me, even though my car payment was being automatically drafter from my checking account monthly. July and August of 2022 I went to the bank to deposit my car payment into my checking account for the draft. September I went to deposit and only this time the teller tells me I dont have a checking account. I go inside and further find out that the deposit that I have made previously were placed in my savings account. I applied all money towards my car and the teller showed no interest in further inquiry about my question of my why my account was closed. I then choose to acquire a new car and surrender that car over to RiverFall Credit Union. I was then told by the head of the person over repossessions that my account was closed because they didnt receive Reaffirmation Papers for the car. By then my bankruptcy in September was finalized and they couldve gotten that paperwork from the courts or lawyers. Later I received mail stating car had been sold with a deficit. I called the number on letter three separate occasions and the lady never returned my call. I ran into a childhood friend that I knew worked at the branch that I open this account and received the loan through and told her that the lady ***** called back. Then next day the lady calls and she tells me its sent over to the lawyer already and she could give me the number but I was driving so I couldnt take it, but she said they lawyer/collector shouldve already sent me something in the mail. I never received anything from lawyer/collector so I call back and leave another message and once again I never receive a call back from the lady. So I go into the branch that I established my accounts and loan from to try to seek resolution. Very unprofessional that I had to show up in person.

      Our staff followed proper procedures once notified in June of 2022 of the bankruptcy proceedings for *****************  It is the responsibility of the individual's attorney to provide us with proper paperwork to reaffirm any debt which will not be included and for which payments will continue (in this instance, the auto loan).  We did not receive this, and instead **************** came on her own to the credit union to surrender the vehicle on 10/7/22.  She was asked twice if she was sure that this was what she wanted to do, and she said yes that she had acquired another vehicle.  The vehicle was sold in December and a deficiency letter was mailed to **************** on 12/6/22.  On 1/7/23, **************** agreed to make monthly payments in the amount of $175 to cover the deficiency starting 2/8/23.
