    We engaged in purchasing solar panels from this company in May of 2025. Several times during the sales process we asked the company representative, **** ******, if maintenance of the panels (i.e. removal and reinstallation) was covered when a new roof was required. We were ASSURED that it was, which we understood to mean that we would not be charged when we needed a new roof. We were then exteremely surprised a month later, after the panels were installed, that we recieved a bill for over $7,000. When we questioned it, we were told, too bad, salesman just gave out incorrect info, by the next company contact, ***** ********. This frauduent business practice of bait and switch is abhorrent, and people should thing twice before considering doing business with them.

    Hello, 

    We have reached out to this customer for further information regarding this complaint. Our understanding of what happened is the following:

    1. Customer purchased solar from ******* ****** ********* with the understanding that routine maintenance would be handled. This is not fully incorrect. The customer has solar panels and inverters which are covered by a 25 year warranty which the panel manufacturer and the inverter manufacturer would pay Natural Energy to come out and replace any faulty material. We have no issue honoring this commitment. 

    2. Customer called in requesting ******* ****** ********* remove and put back the system for them to get a roof repair. Completely uninstalling the system and reinstalling the system is not routine maintenance and is not a warranty claim. Therefore, we provided a quote to do the work for the customer. This work is covered through insurance and would be paid for with the roof replacement.  Our understanding is that the customer did not engage with their insurance company and therefore did not inquire about getting the solar panel remove and replace paid for through insurance. 

    3. We have asked the customer to try and get that paid and covered through their insurance and we are happy to provide any documentation required to assist in getting that approved. 

    4. We have attempted to follow up with the customer to see if any progress has been made and to date, we have not received a call back.

    I was told my electric bill would be completely $0 yet I am still paying now a big solar bill and still an electric bill. Everything the salesman told me was a complete falacy. I received no money from installing my solar panels which was promised from the salesman. I have saved zero money. Lies on lies. This has cost me way more money. Save yourself the trouble. This was such a bad decision. Go with another company.

    system was to provide all electrical needs of my property with a extra amount based on previous years consumption. $2500 was to be kicked back to cover system payment for first year.
    System has failed to produce even 1/10 th or less of previous year or current year consumption.
    $500 was left in an envelope for me at office with no explanation. Phone calls and texts are ignored...only response is silence or "nothing they can do"

    We’ve been in contact with the homeowner and I believe we’ve come to a resolution with him regarding getting him where he needs to be.

     

    We’ve confirmed that the current system is working as intended, but we have concerns about the meter which was installed. Our first step is to contact the electric company and have them double check the meter.  If it is working as intended, we’re looking at options to get him where he needs to be.

     

    We can keep you in the loop as we move through the process.
