    After renting from them for a year or so. I would NOT suggest anyone to rent from this place at all!! They raise rent ever 3
    months to the point my rent is almost double to what it was. And the unit price starting out is still the same! They give you some that it's based on the market but the market has not changed! So I went to close my account with them and they still made me pay for an extra month!!! So now my unit has been sitting empty for 2 months! And I'm still having to pay on it! If I don't they are sending it to collections. I've tried to talk to management but they only give an email out and just sent you to different people to talk to. They do not care about their customers at all! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!! They are crooks!!
    Now they have sent it to collections and I only owed $185 and they sent it to collections for $241.82!!!!

    At Midgard Self Storage, we take pride in providing our customers with the best possible experience while they are storing with us.

    However, as is standard practice across the storage industry, we do from time to time have to issue rate increases. These are not arbitrary increases, but they are done in response to a variety of factors such as rising costs, market rates, and site costs. In order to make this clear for our tenants, we fully explain the rate increase process in section two of our lease agreement, which our tenants sign, thereby acknowledging that they agree to and understand the terms.

    Regarding the move-out process, we do not charge tenants for an extra month unless they fail to follow our vacate policy. Prior to vacating, tenants must simply provide us with 30 days written notice to avoid being charged for an extra month.

    This requirement is outlined in section one of our lease agreement stating “This Lease is a month-to-month lease, based upon the terms and conditions set forth herein, which shall commence on the Lease Date and shall automatically renew each and every month with a subsequent renewal term beginning on the first of each month, unless written notice is given by either party at least thirty (30) days prior to the date the parties wish to terminate this Lease.” This requirement is also reiterated on signs posted around the property in the hopes of reminding tenants to submit the notice.

    The experience of our customers is our top priority, and we fully explain all of these processes in our lease in the hopes of helping facilitate that positive experience for our tenants. While we are sorry to hear that this tenant was dissatisfied, we hope that she will reach out with any questions on our policies should she choose to store with us again.
