    I reserved a boat rental for 1:00 pm to 5:00pm for 8/31/2024 at Eden Isle Marina, Heber Springs, AR. was told over the phone by a female employee on 8/20 that they would not process my debit card till the boat was returned at 5:00pm 8/31. I came down with a bad case of Covid on the eve of 8/27, I called Eden Isle Marina the morning of 8/28, the man answering phone said to call back at noon. I called at noon and spoke to Bob who had no concern of my Covid, he told me “to come in Marina and get the boat and go out to open air” I could not believe his total disregard for himself, other employees, and customers health! I asked for a refund, he said if I supplied a doctors note, which was sent after the call, and he would give full refund to my bank debit card. No refund has appeared as of today 9/8. I called my bank and they opened a case on this. I was never told of a cancellation period and would think 59 hour notice and having covid would deserve a full refund. I spoke to my best friend an attorney and he said to take to small claims court and report to BBB. I own a very successful business and would never treat a customer in this way. I will not stop till I have a full refund because this is just not fair in anyway at all. The owners are John and Holly ******, they need to help their customers and not be so consumed with GREED… please help me…. Many thanks, Lee ******

    Incorrect Information. Renter called August 28, 2024 to ask about a weather policy, not to cancel rental. The customer initiated booking this rental on August 19, 2024 for a rental August 31, 2024. (see attached)  Booking this rental, customer initialed and acknowledged a non-refundable deposit statement, as well as, our cancellation policy statement. (see attached) The deposit taken was for booking fees and holding a reservation spot and is always nonrefundable no matter what.  He communicated his COVID letter August 29, 2024 falling inside the 72 HR window. Anything cancelled under 72 HRS of booking will not be refunded. (see attached) We communicated this to him then, as well as, through emails confirming the rental and payment confirmation. (see attached)

    Our rules are no different than they have ever been. Our rental policy and rental contract stand the same especially on a holiday weekend. We tried to work with him and let him reschedule calling him Saturday and Sunday again with no answer. He refused to be worked with.
