      December 19, 2024 – initial meeting
      February 2025 installation
      Deposit 50% - $3180.00
      No Clog gutter system. Was told by salesman that there is no clog even where valleys are at, no getting on a ladder or roof.
      Disputing that gutters still clog where valleys are at and have had to get on ladder and roof several times to unclog debris.
      The business offered to change the gutter sections but said it would still clog as there is no system that truly prevents clogging in the valley areas (not what he told us at the initial meeting when we signed contract). Homeowners will still need to clean the area. In our specific case this means getting on a ladder and the roof.
      Have asked *** *** ***** to call on three occasions to discuss and have not heard from him or anyone in his office.

      We installed a premium clog free gutter system on ** ***** home and fulfilled the contract as stated. The gutter system is guaranteed to not clog as promised and if it does clog we send a technician out to clean it out. ** ***** seems to have a complaint about roof valleys and debris sitting in the valley. We did not install his roof nor offer any warranty or protection from leaves falling in the valley as that is impossible to stop. In heavy rains any leaves or debris should wash off his roof valley's and water into the gutter system. We have offered to make any changes to the gutter system that ** ***** felt is necessary at NO extra charge to try and make him happy and as of now he has not agreed to that. ** ***** has NOT paid the second balance of his agreed upon contract even though we have fulfilled our obligations and are still willing to make any changes he would like at no extra cost. If the gutters are clogged we would be glad to clean them out and make any necessary adjustments, but we do not clean roof valleys as that is not apart of the gutter system and does not cause the gutter to clog. We hope to hear from ** ***** soon and make any changes he would like so we can close this project.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      First, we have tried to close this project; however, Hanke
      Brothers would not return our calls and text messages. 

      Second, this is not a complaint about the
      roof valleys or the roof, it is the gutter system at the roof valleys that get
      clogged up (see pic).  The fixes that
      have been proposed have been viewed by a professional gutter installer and we
      were told the fixes would still get clogged and have to be cleaned several
      times a year.  For our house, this means
      getting on a ladder and the roof to clean the debris from 5 valley gutter areas.  I took the salesman out the back door and
      showed him one of these corners in the gutter that gets clogged up because of
      the valley on the roof and he assured me it will not get clogged up with this
      system and we would never have to get on a ladder or the roof to clean. The
      contract says ‘to the homeowner’s satisfaction’ and that is not the case.

      Simply put we had gutters on our house that required me to
      get on the roof and clean out the gutters at the valleys.  I saw a commercial on tv that said no clogged
      gutters.  Hanke Brothers sent a salesman
      to our house and I showed him this issue and he said you will not have this
      issue with our system and you will not have to get on a ladder or the roof.

      The Photo attached shows debris on top of the gutter system that washed down from the roof valley. The gutter system is not clogged, debris is sitting on top and will wash away in a heavy rain. There is no clog inside the gutter system to stop water from getting in the gutters and the downspouts to carry away the water properly. We are still available to change things if ** ***** would like us to. We are gutter experts and have installed millions (yes millions) of feet of gutter and assure you that the gutter system is not clogged on the inside. The system is designed for debris to wash over the top and water to flow in the gutter. No need to clean off the top of the gutter, the wind and rain will take care of that. Always here to help and willing to change anything at no extra charge if that will make the customer satisfied

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Sir/ma'am, I never said it was clogged inside.  You are correct.  It is the top of YOUR system that is clogged
      up.  You are also correct that it is
      debris washed down from the valleys on the roof and on to the top of YOUR
      gutter system.  It is clearly clogged not
      inside the gutter but on the top of the gutter that you installed.  It is very windy and rainy this morning.  The wind and rain have not washed away debris
      even to the point water is now running over the debris and going straight to
      the ground as evidenced in new pic.  Some
      water is not ever making it to the inside of the gutter.  Your installer told me this would happen if I
      did not get up there and clean them out and he is obviously correct.

      This gutter system is doing the exact same thing the old
      gutter did if I didn’t’ clean them out on the top.  I signed a contract for $6,360.00 and paid
      50% up front to fix this EXACT problem because your salesman said it would fix
      this problem, and it has not.  Please do
      not forget your own installer told me, as he said he tells every customer, you
      will have to clean out these corners or they will clog up on top and water will
      overrun. We understand you are willing to exchange/replace corner parts; however, your own installer told us these new parts will clog up also and there is no option other than getting up there and cleaning out the debris from the top of the gutters in the corners.  This is the exactly the opposite of what your salesman told us when we signed the contract.

      We do apologize for any miscommunication or misunderstanding from the sales representative, but our no clog guarantee is just for the gutter system (water and debris clogging inside the gutters), not debris that washes down from the roof valleys and sits on the roof and stops the water from flowing properly into the gutters, however, we still want to help resolve any issues ** ***** may be having. We request that ** ***** lets of change some parts on the gutter system as we have offered several times and see if it performs to his liking.

      *** ***** and I agreed that Hanke Brothers would replace parts at two locations; wait until the end of next spring (June 1, 2026); then determine if the parts replaced fixes the problem.  Upon my satisfaction, final payment will be made.
