    About a year ago, Arkansas Glass installed a glass and metal enclosure to our existing porch. This enclosure included a sliding glass door and screen. After the installation was completed we immediately notified Arkansas Glass that the sliding glass door leaked both air and rainwater and that the bottom seal on the door was defective. They made several attempts to "adjust" the door and replaced the bottom seal. The replacement seal came off on its own a week later and the door continued to leak air and water. The design of the sliding glass door was such that it would require a complete redesign to fix the problem. There are no weep holes in the door frame and no frame to door seal at either the top or bottom of the door frame.
    Arkansas Glass told me they contacted the door manufacturer but didn't get any help in resolving the program. Several months went by and then after I contacted them repeatedly they indicated a new door supplier was being contacted.
    Several more months went by and several of my email and phone communications to Arkansas Glass went unanswered.
    It's now been about six months since the defective door was reported to Arkansas Glass and after telling them I was preparing to report them to the BBB they replied with an offer of $750 to make me go away or telling me to fix it myself and they'd pro-rate the old door cost if returned in good condition to them.

    Both of these remedies are ridiculous and don't address Arkansas Glass responsibility to promptly repair or replace (at their cost) the defective sliding glass door/frame.

    SEND TO US.  WHEN WE HAVE RECEIVED THIS DOOR AND ARE SATISFIED WITH IT, WE

    WILL CONTACT MR.RENES TO SCHEDULE INSTALLATION.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as a reasonable date of completion for the replacement of the defective door is provided by Arkansas Glass. 

    In dealing with them in the past, literally months would go by with little or no substantive work being done by them towards fulfilling their contractual obligation. Promises were made but not kept.

    Please ask them to furnish an estimated date for the replacement of the defective door.

    If the work isn't completed in a timely fashion another BBB case will be opened.
