On March 1, 2025, I hired Hog Wash Detail & Dent (operated by ***** ****) to repaint my front bumper and refinish my fender. I paid a total of $1,100—$500 for the bumper and $600 for the fender. $250 was given pre-work, not in text.Upon picking up the vehicle that same day, I noticed that the fender had visible texture and paint inconsistency, and the bumper had noticeable orange peel and bubbling.

Later that evening, on March 1, I messaged *** **** about the fender. He admitted in writing that there was “overspray” and stated it needed to be buffed out. On March 2, I sent him photos of the bumper and he acknowledged that it still needed wet sanding and buffing—steps which he knowingly did not complete, without informing me prior to pickup. Despite multiple attempts to follow up over the next several weeks, *** **** continuously rescheduled, ignored messages, or failed to follow through with the promised corrections.

On March 28, after weeks of trying to work with him, I visited his shop again. At that time, he changed his explanation and told me verbally that the fender looked bad because of the panel’s condition—not due to his paint technique. This directly contradicted his earlier written statement about the issue being overspray. No work was performed during that visit, and no further communication was initiated by *** ****. I tried asking him via text to either refund me, or finish the work. Have still received no response from him.

I have text messages, photos, and a written statement from a certified bodywork professional who inspected the work and concluded that both the bumper and fender lacked proper preparation, were poorly painted, and would need to be completely redone.

Despite *** **** acknowledging multiple times that the work was incomplete, I was never offered a fix or refund. I am therefore requesting a full refund of $1,100, and I am including this in my complaint to the Better Business Bureau in hopes of reaching a fair and timely resolution.
