    I purchased a Remington exclusive gun. It was in 2010. Had plenty of ammunition for it. Now I’ve been out for two years. I’ve emailed Remington numerous times. I’ve tried multiple dealers and they just shake their heads and have not had any of that size in years. Remington designed the .17 center fire gun/ammo in 2007. And now they won’t produce ammo for it ??? Please help. I really like the gun but can’t use it w/o ammo. Thanks

    Hello,

    We are aware of the ammunition needs and requests from customers such as this all over the country.  ********* ********** is a singular facility, providing ammunition to customers all over the world.  We must balance the demands for the various calibers and hundreds of different skus that we manufacture.   

    Based on the short description, this customer is either referencing 17 Remington, or 17 Remington Fireball.  These are two different calibers, thus different products.  

    17 Remington is currently available and has been available thru the ********* ********** website. An example of an available sku would be:

    If this is in reference to 17 Remington Fireball, we have also manufactured that caliber as well, as recently as last month.  There is some time necessary to get product thru wholesale and retail channels.  This product will also be available on the Remington website. The sku would be R29165

    The ammunition in question Remington 17 Fireball, is readily available on the Remington website.  ****************************************************************

    Since the state of California has made it ridiculously difficult for customers to buy ammunition off the internet, one option you might consider going to a local dealer that you purchase products from and having them order from the website directly to their store for you.

    As a manufacturer we ship to wholesalers around the country, that in turn sell to the retail levels.  There are 124 different wholesalers around the country that have ordered the particular sku listed in the above link. Aside from the big box locations, Individual retail locations around the country purchase thru the wholesale dealer, not from Remington.  We cannot see what specific store may or may not decide to purchase a specific sku.

    I can relay that one wholesaler in California has ordered this product. ****** **** in ***** ******, CA.  Where it goes from there, is up to what locations order from them, not Remington.  They can be reached at:  ************

    I also recommend you contact your state representative regarding the restrictions imposed that do not allow residents of California to order ammunition as other citizens in other states.

    Again, we have loaded this sku, it is available, and we will continue to offer it.

    I am rejecting this response because:I do not see any natl retailers with any stock of REM. Fireball .17 ?  You said ****** in ***** ****** Ca.  They do not stock it. And said it’s been back ordered.  AS well as ****** ******** *****, ****** **** *******, ************ ***,  *******  I’ve tried !! I’ve left emails for REMInGTON to let me know when some ships or is produced.  I have NEVER received an e mail in 2 years of trying.
