    2 stars for being responsive, but the topsoil is Bad. We advised them exactly what we wanted - to level out an existing yard and put sod in the bare areas. For ease of spreading they said 25% sand would help. In spite of their insistence it is sand in the follow up conversation, it' is gravel they added, not sand. The soil is VERY pebbly and the grass and sod STRUGGLES to grow. I waited 2 months to write this to make sure I gave the soil every chance - we've had 5" of rain in August and it still can't keep up with our other soil. Their claim is Arkansas soil is rocky - that is the soil adding the pebbles, not the sand. Well guess what - Chev's needs to find a new soil source - we have some other Arkansas topsoil that is just fine - from up near Pea Ridge, and we can't make it stop growing - just the weed seed it arrived with have gone NUTS with GROWTH. Not the Chev's soil - even the weeds don't like it. Test sample in process. Buyer beware.

    I had 10 yards of hardwood mulch delivered last week by a different company, and it turned out I needed a LOT more than I realized. So, the following Monday I called Chev’s and requested 15 yards of mulch, and told them I needed it ASAP. Surprisingly, a delivery was possible as quick as Thursday but most likely Friday, and sure enough it was delivered on Thursday. The driver, Raymond, gave the common courtesy to call me first and confirm the appointment as well as provide me with his ETA. This was very convenient since he was dropping it at my VRBO an hour from home, which can cause a lot of wasted time unless they are as punctual as Raymond proved to be. He was very polite, helpful, cooperative, and patient. He was willing to spread the mulch in multiple areas as I needed, and was rather pleasant throughout it all. The mulch was the lowest price I could find in the area as well, and the delivery was less than half of what I’ve paid with other delivery companies. Chev’s trucking provided me quick, flawless service at a more than fair price. They’re my recommendation above others with mulch delivery at the least, which I imagine they are just as good of quality service in others they provide as well. Thanks Chev’s…I’ll be back!
