My parents sold a piece of land in Hardy, AR. The buyers asked to finance it and my parents agreed. The payments go through this company. They set up the payments so that the land can be repossessed after 3 back payments. The buyers have skipped right at 4 payments as of next week (December 1st)--that does not include the shorted payments. I contacted ****** just a few weeks ago after 3 missed payments to see what we can do. He said, if they make a payment in the past 60 days, no one can repo the land. The buyers made a payment--but not a full payment--it was $10 short this time--in October yet they are 3 payments behind. This company will let the buyers make a partial payment and refuse to repo the land for another 60 days. In 60 days, they can make another payment--no matter how small--and not have the land repossessed. I talked to ****** about this. He was rude and disgusting. He said, if my parents did not like the way they handled things, for them to get a lawyer. My parents are 75 years old. This land was supposed to be paid off in 3 years to my parents. At the rate the payments are being made, the land will take 10 years to be paid off and there's nothing this company will do. This seems like a very shady business practice and it hurts no one but my parents. ****** made it very clear, even if they make a $10 payment in the past 60 days, they will not repo the land. He was rude and horrible.
