At issue is the phones lines being paid for did not work for over a year. Their technicians were unable to correct the issue while we continued to pay the bill. After numerous attempts to work with White Couty Video, Inc. on their service, our business switched providers. Our new provider has installed phones and a system that exceeds our expectations for a simple office phone system.
As a representative of our business, I offered to pay for two months ‘worth of service for the cancellation, March and April 2025. One month for ending the account mid-month, and one month for a 30-day notice. White County Video, Inc. refused to work with us, stating we owe through December 2025.
That is not reasonable, and we will not pay $2,352.56 for a year of service we are not going to receive. Our business will be providing this information to the Better Business Breau of Arkansas as well as business entities in Searcy AR explaining the poor handling of our specific issue.

Here's one for you: I woke up 7 weeks ago to the sound of digging in my yard. It was White County Cable, exercising their right to public easement and, incidentally, playing catch up with AT&T who had beat them to it months previously with their "Fiber To The Premises", 5000Mbps. Being a nice fellow, I took cans of Coke to the workers, shook their hands, and chatted as good-naturedly as I could to someone gouging a chunk out of my lawn with a backhoe. Now, 7 weeks later, the hole is still there, the crew is probably eating biscuits and gravy at the Waffle House, and when I asked the woman at the White County Cable front desk why the company she worked for was ruining my property with its inferior product, she fidgeted nervously, (probably because she has had this same conversation with countless other angry Searcy citizens) and tried to sing the praises of "Fiber to the Node". I listened for as long as I could muster, then challenged her monologue with this simple question:
"Are you aware that FTTN is ten times slower than FTTP, which was put in my yard months ago by AT&T?" I asked.
More nervous fidgeting. She hadn't expected a 63-year-old to even know the difference between FTTN and FTTP. I finished our conversation by thanking the woman for her time, assuring her she was not the problem, and vowing to begin filling the hole by hand if my lawn was not restored to its original state by the coming weekend. The weekend is now three days away. And still no workers in my yard.
My shovel and I are looking forward to the exercise. I may even start filling my neighbor's hole, too.
