    I was referred to Searcy Physical Therapy by my Dr. When they called to schedule my appointment I asked what the charge was going to be, before I ever went in. she asked me for my insurance information and told me they would get it ran thru insurance before my first appointment so that I would know. When they called to confirm the appointment I asked again about the charges. She told me that she didn't know as of yet. So when I went to my first appointment 3/4/24 I asked before we did anything, She told me we were good, I didn't owe anything. I told her I couldn't afford a big bill. And that if it was going to cost a bunch or my insurance wasn't going to pay I just wouldn't have the therapy. She said everything was good. I had a second appointment, I asked before my appointment what my part was going to be. She told me again that we were good and that I didn't owe anything. I said are you sure? She assured me I didn't owe anything. Fast forward to around the first of June and I get a bill from them for $295.42. I called them and asked about the bill, The receptionist tells me it looks like they didn't run it thru insurance and she would check on it, 3 weeks later someone else calls me and tells me that in fact it was ran thru insurance, That the insurance adjusted what they would pay and that I was responsible for the amount charged until my deductible was met. I feel like this is a misrepresentation of their company to just run up charges for a patient that can't necessarily afford it. Had I not stopped my appointments there is no telling what I would owe them before I finally got a bill from them.
