This is a horrible company that does not honor their own ridiculous contract. I had to cancel since they were not actually spraying my house at all. When I tried to cancel they tried to charge hundreds in fees. The owners simply told me they closed my account but continue to send employees to my house, and also claim I owe them additional money.

    Business Response

We appreciate your past business and are writing to clarify your account status and terms of the agreement you signed. This service includes exterior treatment of the home. If interior treatment is needed, the customer must notify us in advance so it can be documented and the technician can be prepared with the appropriate products. Likewise, any specific pest concerns should be communicated ahead of time to ensure proper treatment. We understand you have chosen to discontinue services. While you were initially a satisfied customer, we regret that you declined to communicate with us during the account closure process and did not allow us an opportunity to resolve any potential issues.

As outlined in the signed contract (attached for your reference), cancellation of services before the completion of the agreed term requires payment of 80% of the remaining service balance. This clause remains in effect regardless of cancellation circumstances.

If you believe legal action is appropriate, that is your right, and we respect your decision to pursue any course of action you feel is necessary. We have attached a copy of your signed agreement for your records and review.

Thank you for reaching out. As previously mentioned, the names of the pesticides used in your treatment can be found in your customer portal. I’m happy to attach them here for your convenience.
To address your concerns: all of our sales representatives are fully licensed and permitted. This is not our first time operating in this area—we take compliance very seriously. We do not send out sales personnel without valid city-issued permits.
Regarding solicitation: the “No Solicitation” signs apply to unpermitted individuals. Our representatives carry valid permits that legally allow them to operate in areas with such signs.
As for your refund request, we must reiterate that no part of your contract guarantees specific treatment results as a condition for a refund. The effectiveness of pest control can vary depending on several factors, including the condition of the property at the time of service, which also plays a role.
At this time, we will not be issuing a refund, as there has been no breach of contract.

I am rejecting this response because:

Once again you are just digging yourself a bigger hole.  I specifically asked for the amounts that you used not what type you use.  Also I have never requested a refund.  I just simply am not going to pay for services I did not receive or for a breach of contract on your part.  I have contacted the Bentonville PD who issues permits for my area and they have no record of your company.  Even if you have a permit you are also required to carry a no knock list, which your people do not, and they are not allowed to knock on any dwelling with a n soliciting sign.

You can continue to lie on here but keep in mind I will be presenting all of your responses in court.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ******

In June 2024 I signed up with Moxie Pest Control. I also have another Pest control policy* ***** **** ******* in Rogers, Arkansas, in which I have had since I moved here in January 2024.
I am from Colorado and I am not familiar with some of the bugs that are found in Arkansas, the main one being termites. I thought having more coverage during the summer for bugs would be a good move since the house I bought had been sitting empty for a few months
Moxie came to our door soliciting their services. I signed up and they did a treatment around the house on that day, June 19, 2024. They indicated they would be out in a couple weeks later to do a follow up treatment and they offered a free termite inspection as well. In a couple weeks I was not able to have them come back because I would be out of town so they came out July 30, 2024 for the follow up extermination. On July 31, 2024 the termite inspection occurred and we were told we had "termites"! I thought this was odd since I had an inspection done by ****** **** ******* a couple months previously, but the inspector said that termites move fast and I should get something done immediately. inspector said the "tornado" could have stirred them up. Unfortunately I found out a month later we were scammed. ****** **** ******* came out to do their quarterly treatment on September 4, 2024 and I mentioned what Moxie had told me. The technician said he would do another inspection and our current policy would have covered it if we had termites. He walked the property and found no evidence that I had or have termites!! The Moxie representative knew I had a policy with Adam's.
We contacted Moxie and asked for a refund of a service we did not need. Was told it would be escalated to upper management. no word from Moxie.
A loan was taken out from ***** *** for the amount of $3982.0
I have not made a payment towards the loan at this time and do not plan on doing so until this situation is resolved.
    Looking for BBB advice.

Thank you for your response.  The complaint has been resolved through the Attorney General/GreenSky

I am very disappointed that I haven't heard from you sooner.   I continually see multiple complaints about Moxie Pest Control from various states, aside from just Arkansas, so I hope you continue to investigate this company, so others don't have to deal with their way of doing busy.  Scam after scam.

Thank you for finally reaching out and hope you can protect other customers from doing business with these people.

    Thank you.
