    My husband and I picked up our Westie puppy, Bella, on 01-22-2020 from Cami Camillo’s home in Apache Junction, AZ. When we asked if her puppies had allergies, her answer was no, which turned out to be wrong as Bella’s skin allergies became so severe that that an allergy specialist had to treat her.
    After paying for our puppy in cash, Cami said that if our dog died before the age of five (5) years, our money would be returned. Bella continued with health issues of diabetes and cataracts requiring an internal medicine specialist and an eye specialist. After four hospital stays, Bella died on Valentine’s Day, 02-14-2025 at the age of four years and two and a half months. This was well within the five years that Cami stated we would get a refund.
    I called Cami twice and left phone messages which she didn’t return, then sent her a certified letter with a receipt to be signed, which she also refused and did not sign. Cami was not a truthful person in our experience as her word did not hold water. Her refusal to respond to me has been her way of avoiding us and not refunding our money. I have a signed note from a friend, who was with us when we picked up Bella, as she also heard the statement about the refund.
    If you are ever planning to buy a Westie puppy, I strongly suggest that you consider NOT getting a dog from Cami and look for a more honest breeder. You could save yourself a lot of heartache and money.
