Legacy Surprise has been an amazing school for our kids and I was your biggest fan. Over the last few years, we have noticed a huge decline in the music program, teachers and policies. Having a teacher tell multiple students their father doesn't love them and then not even teaching in class for 5 months is outrageous! The 4th grade ****** program 8 years ago could out play the 7th & 8th grade program today. My son still had to pluck in 5th & 6th grade when in 4th he didn't. Legacy has decided to switched teaching to the top 10% and instead the bottom 10%. The curriculum and allowances for making up work has declined. Letting kids just slide across to the finish line turning in things late or for half credit. Don't even get me started on the new enVision math program that has my kids and many others in tears. It is ridiculous! The issue I would like to address today is the bathroom & dress code policy. Legacy decided to allow boys into the girls restroom and also allow them to dress as girls and vice versa. Their is no law for this they did it on their own. They did so without informing the parents and sliding it into a parent handbook update. The boys can easily look under or over the stalls and see girls privates. The boys can easily hear the wrappings from girl items being used which the girls are freaked out about. The boys have been very vocal in the hallway asking my son to have *** or asking other girls for pads or tampons. My 10 year old daughter is freaked out. We wrote the principal asking for resolution offering a staff bathroom that the boys could use. They do not care about our girls just the 3 boys. Our girls are getting discriminated against because they are choosing to stay girls and they don't want boys in their safe place. My email had no response. *** is now maxed out with parents fleeing. If the money follows the kids you would think Legacy would hear our children's voices. They apparently don't care about our children.
