      I’m a single mom and I don’t have help when my daughter gets sick. I normally go to the ******* ********** Urgent Care but they were closed which is how I ended up here. At 11pm, my daughter had a fever of 103. I decided to drive her to the clinic. While I was checking in, I was explaining to the front desk girl why we were checking in (returning fever after a week). The Dr spoke up from behind the desk as he was taking notes and said “There’s probably not much we can do here. You have to take her to see her primary” I understand I have to take her to her primary. Her fever happened today at 11pm during non-business hours. I needed immediate help resolving my daughters fever in the moment. I know that fevers over 103 can be brain damaging.
      After I filled out the paperwork during my daughters still on-going-unattended fever… I told the front desk I just got new medical insurance therefore I didn’t have the cards with me bc they were being mailed. She then said I would have to be self-pay and if I didn’t want to pay she’d need to call her boss (which I never said I wouldn’t pay).
      Meanwhile, again…. My daughters fever is still being un-attended and every second matters. I didn’t know what to do being that the place I came to for help was not being helpful. I was frustrated and crying while I waited for the front desk girl to “call her boss” and even if the doctor saw her, he already told me there wasn’t much he could do for her…
      As a single mom, I try to do it all by myself. You’d think that when your daughter is sick, doctors would try to help.
      I went up to the front desk asked for my paperwork and opted to walk out. Worst experience ever. I just needed help and reassurance that my daughter would be ok from a medical professional. I got everything else but that.
