On 11-27-23, Sun City Mechanical inspected my two air conditioners and two furnaces as part of my maintenance agreement with them for which I pay an annual fee. Invoice #: ********. After I paid the technician $301.35 which covered one years renewal of the maintenance agreement, I realized that the amount I paid was not the amount a prior email had indicated it would be. I, therefore, called Sun City Mechanical and spoke with ****** who informed me that I did overpay by $7.35 which she said she would send me in a check. I made this phone call on 11-29-23. A check for said amount arrived at my home a few days later. I cashed the check at a ***** Fargo Bank. Then I received a letter from WF saying they had charged my account for the check because Sun City Mechanicals bank account is frozen or blocked. I have tried calling SCM numerous times and always get a machine. I leave a message, but my calls are not returned. This morning their mailbox is full.I am not only concerned about the $7.35, (ck # ****) I am also concerned about the half of the $301.35 which is supposed to go toward my spring maintenance. If they dont answer their phones, how would I or anyone else make an appointment with them? One might assume they are out of business. I am looking for a quick resolution. I am just asking for what I am owed - nothing more.Sorry, but I do not have the technical means to send a copy of the blocked/frozen check. I could mail you a copy if I had an address. Thank you.

This company was out 2-13-23 to replace the compressor on our A/C unit. 2 days later, the unit stopped working. They sent someone out who stated it was a blown fuse/ replaced it.Now, a little over 4 months later,6-30-23, the compressor has blown again as diagnosed by Alien Air (7-1-23). My mother called the company to have them come out. ***** came to our home late on Monday (7-3-23), and proceeded to tell me your behavior is inexcusable and if anyone you or your mother call and talk to me or my staff again, we will add you to our do not service list. Let me tell you a story, when I first started 35 years ago I had a lady that acted like that and I kept raising the price because of her attitude like yours and she finally calmed down when she understood I had air and didnt care if she went through me or not. You already called another company instead of us, use them next time. I apologized for my mothers call. He told me to go to your mamas then. She cares. Shes in ****. I told him that and he smirked and shrugged his shoulders. He proceeded to go to the roof and confirmed the compressor will have to be replaced. He said he would return to the office and call you when the part comes in. You dont need to be here when its installed.I called 7-5-23 for an update on the part. She stated ***** has been trying really hard all morning to get ahold of the vendor but no luck. Or he said their system was down. He or I will call you if we get ahold of them later. I thanked her and ended the call. Another woman from the company called me back a few moments ago and stated I would have to pay nearly $1000 for the part that is no longer under the units warranty. But well cover the Freon and the installation. She stated that although they replaced the part only a few months ago, they will not take responsibility for the part itself that I was told would have a 1 year warranty after being installed 2-13-23. I feel as if this is retaliation from the company

Thank you for bringing to our attention the complaint from *************-Kroguliski. After speaking with my ** manager *****, below is what I have found and the events that took place.

02/13/23 - We installed a new compressor that was given to her at no charge as it was still under warranty through the manufacturer Day & Night. She is not the original homeowner, so we helped her get the warrantied compressor through the manufacturer and only charged her for labor and freon (please see the attached invoice).

02/17/23 - We had to go back out there because the ** was not working again. The tech found a burnt contactor and replaced it at no charge.

07/03/23 - I received a call from her parents saying the ** wasnt working again and they had another company come out and said it was due to the coil needing to be cleaned. They were upset saying we cleaned the coil, and this shouldnt be an issue and we better fix it now as they have their young granddaughter in the house. Our records show we cleaned the coil back on 07/31/2019 so the coil could have become dirty in almost 4 years it had been. I advised we would have to get a tech out to see what is going on. On that visit ***** found the following Found compressor start winding shorted causing breaker to trip. Indoor coil is impacted with pet dander and dirt. Needs chemical cleaning of indoor coil and replace compressor. At that time, we found out that the original manufactures warranty had expired causing the compressors 1 year warranty to expire along with it.

Please note each time anyone was speaking with them (mom, dad, or *******) they were extremely rude. They kept calling back and yelling at our office staff over how upset they were and how we better fix this ASAP. At one point the dad was cursing at one of our front office girls and she had to hang up the phone because the conversation became so hostile. Upon arrival ***** did inform ******* that her and/or her parents are not to speak to our office staff the way they had been. He informed her that we are doing our best and helping them, but they are not the only ones in ******* with ** issues, and just as they have the right to go elsewhere, we have the right to refuse service if it continues.

07/13/23 We went out there to install a new compressor and she was only charged for the compressor, which ***** gave to her at our cost, and we warrantied our labor and freon. She also refused the coil cleaning saying we didnt do it correctly the first time and they would have someone else do it.  At the end of this visit, ******* told our tech who was there, that ***** and the front office people are very rude and we will get ours in the end in a very threatening manner. The customer paid and my tech left.

Another thing to note is that she also filed a complaint with ROC (Arizona Registrar of Contractors) and after they reviewed everything that had happened, they dismissed the complaint, stating she had no case, and we did nothing wrong.

Given the above information, unfortunately no refund will be made to *******. Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or concerns.
