      n 06/17/2025 Ms. ***** was with my nephew and 2 infant children just leaving ********, heading up 95 when the vehicle a 2011 Dodge Avenger started overheating. They pulled over at the nearest shop which was Econo *************** They explained the issue. After a few hours nephew called me I proceeded to the shop and spoke to a mechanic, he handed us an estimate of work needed ; Head Gasket replaced, Resurface Cylinders, Replace Radiator, Add coolant. total was $ ********. Mechanic stated they ran a block test which turned yellow indicating the gasket was compromised. ****** paid them $ ****** for the block test they claimed was ran on the vehicle. On 06/19/25 I had ***** of Auto ***** proceed to my house and check the vehicle out. He also ran a block test and the liquid stayed blue which indicated no gasket issue. Upon draining the anti-freeze and refilling with water We started the car and he noticed the Bleeder value was leaking. Headed to the Auto parts store bought a bleeder value, and 2 gallons of Anti-freeze .We took the car on a test drive and it ran fine. This morning 06./20/2025, ****** and my nephew along with 2 infants proceeded to ****. Total cost of the repair was 4.96 for the Bleeder screw, and ***** for 2 gallons of Antifreeze. Total cost was *****, plus ****** Labor total cost 1***** not the 3, ****** as quoted by the shop. I did go to the shop on the afternoon of the 19th after Auto ***** repaired the vehicle and discussed it with I believe the manager. Asked him several questions on how one mechanic resolved the problem for less than 5.00 bucks, and they needed almost *****. and he couldn't come up with an explanation for me. I asked him to refund ******** the ****** fee for the diagnostic as obviously they couldn't have ran that test. He refused the refund. Mechanic on the invoice is a ****** *******.
