I learned that I can either pay $3900 to put yet another bandaid on my air conditioner, or I can pay $11,000 for a new unit. If I go with option A, that would be a total of $14,000 spent on repairs and services and I still have the same old air conditioning unit. When we spoke to Autumn other day, she attempted to victim blame me for getting "preventative services" at a cost of $8300. I didn't request these services, these are services that were presented to me as the way to resolve my issues. I am not an HVAC expert. I signed up for a membership with Precision Air and Plumbing to handle that for me. It's very clear now that those "preventative services" were not only completely unnecessary, they were also going to be used against me when it came to a situation where I was dissatisfied with the overall service I have received. These types of predatory business practices where they coerce people to do things knowing full well that it will not help the situation are unconscionable. If I go with option B, that's $20,000 I will have spent with Precision Air and Plumbing for a situation that could have been handled for half the cost if someone had just been honest with me to start. The repairman that was here in January advised me that he would replace the unit rather than attempting to continue to try to work with what I have. In an attempt to provide some assistance, he offered to help save a little bit of money by seeing if one of the parts I have already paid for could be taken off the price of a new unit. While commendable, it's not enough. I have literally wasted thousands of dollars. For $20,000 I could have purchased a new air conditioner and a cheap, reliable car. I am not interested in being blamed for electing to go through with the preventative services that were presented to me as a solution to my issues.Business Response

I had a new wash machine water hose installed. $405.51. It was in a rental unit (I wasn't there) and I wasn't given an estimate until the work was completed. It took less than 30 minutes. I was expecting something crazy like $150-200, but nowhere near $405. I phoned 3 times and was told I needed to discuss with the "crew manager". 3 messages over 2 weeks ago and no call back. Absolutely no communication. I was finally able to talk to the technician. He said his labor alone is $300 an hour and he had to drive from the east valley. What? $300 an hour for drive time and to hook up a wash machine hose. None of this was disclosed prior to the work being done. If I would have been given an estimate prior I would have refused the service. They actually had me sign an estimate AFTER the work was done. I felt that was deceptive. I also felt like I had no option to not pay it since the work was completed, but was expecting I could work it out with them afterward. That has been impossible. As you can see in the attachments, I signed the estimate at 3:36pm at roughly the same time they charged my card for the completed work.Business Response

I purchased a brand new air AC Pro air conditioning unit from precision air and pluming on 8/13/2024, the cost of the unit was $12,500. It was deliver and installed 08/15/2024, the unit arrived and was installed with significant damage to the unit. Scratches to the outside shell and a huge dent on the bottom corner of the coil fins, along with several smaller dents and one hole. I called them on 08/19/2024 to report the unit was deliver and installed in scratched and dented condition. I spoke with the manager named ****, he asked me to send pictures of the damage and I did, he replied he was sending the *********** to come assess the damage in person, they blamed the damage on the factory where the unit was made, and attempted to straighten the coils with a coil comb, which didnt do any good as the coils were not just bent they are dented. I was told **** would call Me and never received a call. I then texted ************* ****, I dont feel like simply combing these fins is a fair resolution to the problem, because there is a huge dent and several small dents. I would feel much more comfortable if I had some guarantee this unit isnt going to have issues. I think it would only be fair if you could at the very least throw in the extended labor warranty or give us a scratch and dent price on the unit. and he responded with Sorry Ive been in contact with distributor to find a solution for you! I will let you know when I get an answer! I never received a resolution. I gave it a week before reaching out again, hoping I would be contacted with a resolution like I was promised, no response. I tried contacting **** (the manager) again 08/26/2024 no response, then again 08/28/2024 again no response. I did not purchase the unite from their distributor I purchased it from Precision Air and Plumbing. I wouldnt have like to be able to resolve this with them but since they are blowing me off and ignoring me I have no choice but to file a complaint.Business Response

On November 9, 2023 I contracted with Precision Air & Plumbing to have my duct work cleaned and sealed. I have a Preventive Maintenance Agreement with Precision Air & Plumbing and I received a discount on the contracted services. Precision Air & Plumbing subcontracted the duct sealing to AeroSeal America. On December 6, 2023 technicians from Precision Air & Plumbing and AeroSeal America came to my home to perform the contracted work. My HVAC system consists of two separate systems and the work was contracted based on that fact. Precision Air & Plumbing completed the duct cleaning. AeroSeal was only able to complete their work on one system, due to the fact that one system had a large leak that their technology could not deal with. They recommended that I request a refund from Precision Air. I did so immediately and after several phone calls I was told by management that I would be receiving a refund for the uncompleted sealing of my second system. As of January 9, **** I have not received my refund. The amount paid shown below is what I was charged for the second HVAC system.I would appreciate any encouragement from the BBB that might result in Precision Air & Plumbing following through on their commitment to reimburse me for work not completed through no fault of their subcontractor or myself.Business Response

Precision Air & Plumbing respectfully replies to the complaint filed.
Unfortunately, we were not able to confirm from our 3rd party vendor that they were not able to perform the services on your other system.
While we understand this is not your issue, we needed to do our due diligence in confirming this. It was not until 1/4/2024, that were successful in reaching the 3rd party vendor for confirmation.
Our internal refund policy/process is a **** day turnaround. While this request was in process this complaint was subsequently filed.
We can prove the issuance of the refund took place on 01/12/2024 for the amount disputed within this complaint.
It is our hopes this satisfies this complaint.
Thanks,

On 1/14/23, we awoke and had no hot water. Our *************** water heater was less than 4 years old and still had a parts warranty. Per *************** manual I called them to find out how to proceed. *************** said I need to contact a certified plumber that has a multi meter reader and have the plumber call them.Since I had a maintenance agreement with Precision Air & Plumbing (PAB) I called them. PAB promptly sent out a plumber who then called ***************. The PAB plumber said we need a anode rod with flexible head for $376.93 and a 3/4" full boiler drain w/cap for $204.29 and a total of $581.22. I asked the plumber if these parts were covered by the *************** warranty and he said no. I told the plumber the $581.22 is about as much as a new water heater and he said a new water heater would cost about $2,000. Since we needed hot water I authorized the plumber to do the work.On 1/16/23, two days later, we awoke to no hot water again. I called PAB and they promptly sent out the same plumber. The plumber called *************** who agreed to pay for water heating elements covered by warranty. Subsequently I found out that the anode rod and boiler drain mentioned in the previous paragraph have nothing to do with producing hot water. I confronted the plumber and he said he was looking out for our best interests. The plumber said it will cost $180 for him to install the water heating elements. Since we needed hot water I authorized the plumber to install the water heating elements. On 1/26/23, 10 days later, we awoke to no hot water again. I pushed the "reset" button and got hot water for one night. On 1/27/23, I called *************** and they said I could install a new upper thermostat. *************** said if this does not fix the problem a full return will be issued. On 1/30/23, a reputable handy man installed a new upper thermostat. On 2/1/23 a new hot water heater for $616.23 covered by warranty was installed.PAB rejected our claim for the non-heating parts of $581.22.Business Response

On 06/15/23, Precision Air installed a new AC unit, spending just under $14,000 on it. On 07/01/23, I noticed that the unit was not holding my set temperature. They sent out service techs several times over the next week and a half, but nothing they did fixed the issue. The unit will run for a time at the setpoint of 77 degrees, then it's unable to hold that, going up to 84/85 degrees and the blower runs continuously. Hours later, it will eventually cool down and that cycle repeats throughout the day and night. We are dealing with record breaking heat in *******.The lack of properly working AC is one issue, and I also have a blower running nonstop for hours on end and I'm incredibly concerned what that's doing to my electric bill for the past month. In addition to each of the calls I've made, I've also used their online contact form as well as emailed them three times and specifically asked for someone to contact me. I've received zero response.I'm truly hoping that there is a permanent resolution and soon. I'm open to any number of outcomes, whether a different unit should be installed, if there is some kind of fix, if they want to say fine, we'll remove the unit and pretend the sale never happened, or what their recommendation will be.Business Response

The general manager called me on 08/01/23 at 2:25 p.m. and we discussed what is still happening with the ** unit. He said he would like to come out with another person to check out the unit and that he would have someone reach out to me to schedule that appointment.
I have not received any call or email to schedule that appointment and there is no appointment set for 08/04/23.

I don't know who is responding on behalf of the business, but the information in the last response is not correct.
The business called last week on 8/3 aftwr my last response here,, and left a message stating that they had availability to come out 8/4. I called back and left a message (I believe it was in ********'s voicemail) that 8/4 was unavailable for me and we would need to look at the following week. She called me back later in the day, not having listened to my message and we tentatively scheduled a timeblock on 8/8. She said she had three schedules to coordinate and she would confirm the time. No confirmation ever came. Three employees came on 8/8 and have determined it is the physical layout impacting my AC unit's performance and they said there is nothing more they can do and recommended contacting the HOA.

I had the complete tune-up service on 5/31/23. ***** was my technician. Compared to last year's technician, ***** was not as thorough. I'm questioning what he did the whole time he was here?? He hosed down the ** unit, but it's filthy inside with dirt and debris. ***** asked me if I had replacement filters? He didn't provide me with the washable air filters the tune-up comes with. He questioned me as to why I was doing the complete tune-up service because that was for "new customers" not existing customers. Very unhappy customer. On 5/31/23 I contacted the company by phone and left a message, asking for a call back. On 6/1/23 I call again and talked to ********, who only apologized. I received a text message asking how my service was. I replied. They responded with an apology.I also sent a message through their website. No one has reached out about my online message nor has gone out of their why to make things right.Business Response
